Wild-West Texas Rangers vs WW2 French Resistance

Beginning Analysis: What happens when the toughest riders of the west take on the silent liberators of Nazi-Occupied France? Read on to see who...is...deadliest!?

Wild-West Texas Rangers
Short Range: Model 1887 Shotgun
Medium Range: Colt Revolver
Long Range: Winchester Rifle
Explosive: TNT Stick

WW2 French Resistance
Short Range: Double-Barrel Shotgun
Medium Range: Mle. 1935A Pistol
Long Range: MAS-38 Submachine Gun
Explosive: Panzerfaust

Who Got the Edge
Model 1887 Shotgun vs Double-Barrel Shotgun: Both shotguns get the edge. The Model 1887 holds 7 shells at a time, can be held in one hand if desired, and loading another shell into the chamber is relatively fast. The Double-Barrel Shotgun, on the other hand, has sheer power behind. Firing 2 shells off at the same time, little will remain in front of the gun.
Colt Revolver vs Mle. 1935A Pistol: Both pistols get the edge. The Mle. 1935A Pistol has a higher ammo capacity (8 rounds compared to the Colt's 6 rounds) and lesser weight when unloaded (790g compared to the Colt's weight of 1048g), but the Colt has a longer barrel (190.5mm compared to 105mm).
Winchester Rifle vs MAS-38 Submachine Gun: Both guns get the edge. The Winchester Rifle can fire up to 150 meters, and chambering another bullet is easy & fast. The MAS-38, on the other hand, is rapid fire (shoots 600 rounds a minutes), and has a higher ammo capacity (32 rounds compared to 15 rounds with the Winchester).
TNT Stick vs Panzerfaust: The Panzerfaust gets the edge. Although both explosives are one-use items, the Panzerfaust as the advantage being able to be fired from a distance, rather than simply being thrown.

Setup
It was high noon in Laredo, Texas. The heat caused it's denizens to seek cover, or head into the local saloon. For one Texas Ranger, however, the heat would be the least of his worries.
Ranger Harris has just ridden into town with a stranger tied to his horse. Hours earlier, he and the stranger were in a heated gun battle. Harris had finally managed to end the fight with a wellplaced shot to the stranger's shoulder, and knocked the stranger out cold. Harris was taking the stranger back to the town's jail in hopes of getting some answers out of his prisoner.
Harris arrived at the jail, where 4 other rangers were waiting. They walked over to Harris's horse, and 3 of the rangers picked up the stranger's unconscious body, and took him inside the jailhouse. The other ranger stayed behind, and started a conversation with Harris.
"Good work. Me and the boys were starting to get a little worried that you actually got killed in that fight."
"Wouldn't happen in a lifetime." responded Harris. "Hey, are you one of the new guys?"
"Oh, yes I am." the ranger responded. "The name's Bill. Ranger Bill, that is."
Harris reached down to shake the young ranger's hand. "Welcome to the Rangers! I'm glad to see some fresh blood in the ranks. I hope that you'll be able to do a lot of good for us."
"Thank you, sir." responded Bill. "Now, let's get inside, and see what this stranger has to say."
Ranger Harris knodded in agreement. He got off of his horse, and the two rangers headed inside.
The two rangers arrived at a small interrogation room, with only a trickle of light coming through a small window. Dust could be seen in the light beams, illuminating the stranger tied to a chair. Three other rangers were in the room, making sure that their captive didn't try to escape.

"It's alright, boys." spoke Ranger Harris. "I'll take it from here."
The three rangers knodded, and headed out of the room for a break. Bill grabbed a nearby water pitched a poured himself a drink, while Harris grabbed a second chair from the corner of the room, and sat right in front of the stranger, who was now beginning to stir out of unconsciousness.
"Well now" spoke Ranger Harris. "we've got an interesting situation. A couple days ago, you tried to kill me. Am I right?"
The stranger was still trying to come out of his stupor. Harris turned to face Bill, and quietly motioned to him to bring over the water pitcher. Bill gave him the pitcher, who then tossed the water on the stranger's head. He finally woke up, and the first thing he saw was the two rangers glaring at him.
"Wa, wa, what am I doing here? Who are you people?"
"Looks like you're finally awake." said Ranger Bill. "Now we can get some answers out of you."
"Answers?" the stranger asked "You want answers!? For what!?"
Harris picked the stranger up off the floor, still tied to the chair. "For why you tried to kill me!? That's why!"
The stranger spit right into Harris's eyes."I'm not telling you a thing. You and your men won't quell the resistance! France will be free!
Harris dropped the stranger back onto the floor. "What? France becoming free? What in god's name are you talking about?"
As if on cue, Harris & Bill immediately heard gunshots outside. Harris stepped out of the room, just in time to see one of the 3 ranger run in.
"What the hell is going on out there!?" Harris asked loudly.
"We're not sure." the ranger responded. "One minute, we're just sitting the breeze. The next minute, we're greeted with hot lead. Can you call for..."
A bullet wizzed right through the front door, and into the back of the ranger's head. He fell to his knees, then his face landed into the floor with a thud.

Harris ran to the jail's gun cabinet, and picked up a Model 1887 along with a couple shells. He loaded the gun, then headed outside where the gunfire was still lighting up the air. He reached for the door handle, when two bullets came through the door, and just past his head. Giving a small thanks to God for not getting shot, Harris opened the door, and joined the other rangers in their battle.
The first thing Harris saw were the four assailants. 3 of them were hiding behind some barrels & crates that were on the other side of the street. The four attacker was on top of the roof, rapidly firing off a gun that he hadn't seen before. Harris quickly went over to Ranger Bill, who was reloading his Winchester Rifle.
"What the hell is going on!?" Harris asked loudly.
"Not sure!" Bill responded. "One minute, we're just enjoying how quiet it was out here, then the next minute, we're getting shot at! What happened to Taylor?"
"He got killed." Harris responded solumnly. "A stray bullet managed to get inside, and into his head."
Bill simply knodded, and began shooting back in a kind of calm fury. In what was a rare moment of sheer luck, one of his shots from the Winchester went into the chest of one of the attackers. The body plainly slumped over a crate, still holding a pistol in his hand.

Rangers: 4/Resistance: 4

"Hell yeah!" yelled bill in victory. "Hey Harris, is that guy you brought back still inside?"
"Damnit!?" growled Harris. "Forgot about him."
Harris turned around to head back inside the jail, all the while making sure that he didn't get hit by any stray bullets. Once back inside the jail, he was greeted with a chair to his head. Knocked to the floor, Harris saw the prisoner got to the gun closer, and take back the guns that he brought with him: a pistol of some kind, and what looked like a Double-Barrel Shotgun. The captive loaded two shells into the gun, as was about to fire the weapon at Harris's head, when dozens of pellets came flying through the door, tearing it to shreds. The pellets then went right through Harris's captive, sending blood and flesh all over the jail floor.

Ranger: 4/Resistance: 3

No longer stunned, Harris got up off the floor, then walked over to the shredded corpse of the prisoner. Spitting on the body, Harris was greeted by Ranger Bill, who ran in to see if his comrade was still alive. He stopped when is saw the body of the prisoner.
"Damn." said Bill. "Guess one of us shredded him up."
Harris of up off the floor, and dusted off his clothes. "It seems it." he responded. "How are we doing?"
Bill began to speak. "Well, we killed two of them, and they only managed to kill one of us. We might get through this."
As they were recooperating, the assailant that was on the roof opened up a a small box, and took out a rocket-like device. He flipped the sights of the weapon, and aimed it at the front of the jail. A second later, and he fired the weapon.
Bill & Harris noticed the rocket coming towards them. They immediately ran back inside, while the two rangers behind them were laying down suppressing fire. A second later, and a explosion rocked the front of the building, turning the two unfortunate rangers into chunks of human flesh.

Rangers: 2/Resistance: 3

Bill & Harris were covered in dust and blood. The front of the jail was beginning to look like it was going to fall over at any time. The two men went into the back to regroup and recover.
"Remember when I said that we might make it through this?" Bill asked.
"Don't even try to be sarcastic with me." responded Harris. "We're getting our asses kicked out there."
Shutting his mouth, Bill then began thinking of a plan to end this battle. He leaned over to Harris, and whispered it into his ear. Harris laughed, then the two rangers began setting up their plan.
5 minutes later: Ranger Harris stepped outside of the jail with his hands held above his head. Two of the attackers holstered their guns, while the one behind them still held a pistol of some sorts. The leader of the group, a tall man by the name of Jean, stepped forward to speak.
"Well, Well." he said. "You've decided to give yourself up. That's rather...pathetic."
"You outnumber me and my partner." Harris responded. "The both of us have no choice but to surrender."
"Where is your partner?" Jean asked.
"He's in the back pouring drinks." Harris responded. "I figured we could talk over a surrender agreement?"
Jean walked back to his two partners. They began quietly talking among one another, which worried Harris. Finally, Jean broke off from his partners, and began speaking with Harris once again.
"Alright, we'll talk. Philepe, make sure that they don't try anything funny."
The short person behind Jean knodded. As they walked towards the jail, Harris immediately ran back inside, screaming "Bill, do it!" Jean, and the other attackers were met with a blast that consumed the entire jail. Shards of wood and pieces of brick were now imbeded in the corpses of Jean and his friend, making the appearance of their corpses rather hideous.

Rangers: 2/Resistance: 1

A moment later, and both Harris & Bill stepped out of hiding. The jail was now in ruins, yet they had accomplished their goal. The three remaining attackers were lying dead in the streets, lifeless as the sweltering desert surrounding the town. There was still a lot of dust floating through the air, but eventually disappated enough so that Harris & Bill could see the bodies on the ground. They walked right over to inspect their handiwork, and they were quite pleased.
"Looks like our job is done." said Bill solumnly.
"Agreed." responded Harris. "Lets get a telegraph out, and tell the military what happened."
As they walked away, they didn't notice one body rise up from the ground, and filled their backs full of lead.
