Who Got the Edge
Celtic Longsword vs Viking Broadsword: The
Viking
Broadsword
gets
the
edge.
It
can
easily
go
through
the
Celt's
armor,
and
can
lop
off
more
that
just
heads.
The
Celt
not
only
has
to
deal
with
a
shield,
he
also
has
to
deal
with
the
Viking's
ringmail
&
iron
helmet
Lancea vs Viking Longspear: Both
spears
get
the
edge.
They
can
be
used
up
close,
as
well
as
thrown.
About
the
only
problem
the
Celt
has
is
the
fact
that
the
Viking
is
carrying
a
shield,
and
he
isn't.
The
Viking,
on
the
other
hand,
has
little
to
worry
about.
Celtic Bow & Arrow vs Viking Bow & Arrow: Another
tie
for
both
warriors.
Both
bow
have
great
range,
and
can
go
through
armor
with
relative
ease.
Again,
the
only
problem
the
celt
is
facing
is
the
Viking's
shield.
Burda Club vs Viking Shield: The
Viking
Shield
gets
the
edge.
It
can
do
what
the
Burda
Club
does,
and
be
defensive
at
the
same
time.
Leather Armor vs Ringmail & Iron Helmet: The
Viking's
armor
gets
the
edge.
It
is
much
more
durable
than
what
the
Celt
is
wearing,
and
it
can
protect
better
than
simple
leather.
Setup
It
was
a
cold
night
in
a
remote,
seaside
Norwegian
village.
The
wind
blowing
through
was
cold,
and
a
light
snow
had
just
started
to
fall.
A
stranger,
wrapped
up
in
a
brown
cloak,
walked
into
town
to
look
for
an
Inn
to
spend
the
night
in.
After
3
minutes,
a
little
boy
pointed
him
in
the
direction
of
the
One-Eyed
Tavern.
The
stranger
noticed
the
inn's
sign,
and
walked
right
in.
The
stranger
was
first
greeted
by
a
wave
of
heat
coming
from
the
open
fireplace.
He
saw
a
table
near
the
flame,
with
it
only
other
occupant
to
be
a
rather
large,
blonde
haired
viking
wearing
ringmail
&
a
iron
helmet.
The
stranger
simply
ignored
him,
and
sat
down
at
the
opposite
end
of
the
table.
A
barmaid
with
a
large
plate
came
right
over
to
him,
and
set
down
in
front
of
him
a
mug
of
ale,
some
bread,
and
a
chunk
of
cheese.
The
strangers
said
thank
you,
and
the
barmaid
walked
off
to
tend
to
some
of
the
other
customers.
"Hey,
you!"
the
viking
said.
The
stranger
turned
to
see
who
was
talking
to
him.
"Is
there
any
business
you
have
with
me?"
the
stranger
asked.
"Otherwise,
let
me
enjoy
my
food
&
drink."
The
viking
got
from
his
seat,
and
walked
towards
the
stranger.
Thinking
that
this
fellow
was
going
to
try
and
doing
something
to
him,
the
stranger
slowly
crept
his
hand
into
his
cloak
for
his
sword.
Instead
of
getting
attacked,
the
stranger
was
dumbfounded
when
the
viking
sat
down
right
next
to
him,
holding
his
own
mug
of
ale.
"I
wasn't
trying
to
pick
a
fight
with
you."
the
viking
said
as
he
gulped
down
a
mouthful
of
ale.
"We
haven't
had
a
whole
lot
of
visitors
come
through
here,
and
I'm
surprised
to
see
a
strong
soul
come
into
these
parts."
The
stranger
put
down
the
hunk
of
cheese,
and
revealed
his
face
to
the
viking.
"I'm
strangely
complemented.
Thank
you."
the
stranger
said.
The
viking
then
noticed
the
blue
symbols
painted
on
both
sides
of
his
face,
and
a
thin
blue
line
coming
down
the
bridge
of
the
strange's
nose.
"Are
you
by
any
chance
a
celt?"
the
viking
asked.
"Yes
I
am."
the
stranger
responded.
"I've
heard
stories
about
a
celt
that's
been
picking
fights
with
people.
You
the
guy?"
the
viking
asked.
"Yep,
that's
me."
said
the
celt
as
he
swallowed
some
bread.
"I've
heard
that
a
viking
from
these
parts
had
a
little
trouble
as
well.
Are
you
him?"
The
viking
sighed,
and
quickly
drank
the
rest
of
his
ale.
He
promptly
slammed
the
mug
down
onto
the
table,
and
sighed
again.
"Yeah,
that's
me."
the
viking
responded.
"Wanna
hear
about
it?"
he
asked.
The
celt
waved
the
barmaid
over
for
another
mug
of
ale.
"Sure,
why
not."
the
celt
responded.
The
viking
began
telling
his
tale.
"Okay,
so
here
I
was
in
the
woods,
not
far
from
here
actually.
I
was
hunting
in
the
woods
for
my
family,
when
I
saw
this
small
asian
looking
guy,
wandering
through
the
woods,
and
disturbing
the
game.
I
tried
to
yell
at
him
to
get
away,
when
he
just
started
shooting
arrows
at
me
with
his
weird
looking
bow
that
he
had."
"What
happened
next?"
the
celt
asked.
The
viking
starting
talking
again.
"He
keeps
firing
arrows
at
me,
until
I
threw
a
spear
at
him.
It
knocked
his
bow
out
of
his
hands.
Then
he
picked
up
a
weird
spear,
and
started
running
towards
me.
One
thing
led
to
another,
and
that
asian
guy
shoved
a
sword
through
my
neck.
Luckily,
a
valkyrie
was
flying
around,
and
took
pity
on
me.
As
you
can
see,
I
back.
Now
what
happened
with
you?
Who
killed
you?"
The
barmaid
came
back
with
two
mugs
of
ale.
The
viking
took
one,
and
the
celt
took
the
other.
"Well,
let
me
put
it
simply."
he
said.
"I
first
got
killed
by
some
persians,
which
was
********.
Then
I
got
killed
by
a
gladiator.
I
don't
even
know
how
the
hell
that
happened.
I
still
don't
know
how
I'm
still
alive.
I
guess
it's
just
luck."
With
the
end
of
his
story,
the
celt
noticed
that
the
viking
started
to
laugh.
"What's
so
funny?"
the
celt
asked.
The
viking
put
down
his
mug.
"I
can
understand
getting
killed
by
a
gladiator.
Those
guys
can
certainly
fight
back.
Getting
killed
by
persians?
That
just
too
friggen
hilarious!"
The
celt
suddenly
drew
his
longsword,
holding
the
point
at
the
viking's
neck.
"Laugh
at
me
again.
I
dare
you."
he
growled.
The
viking
got
up
from
his
seat,
and
drew
his
broadsword.
"I
guess
we're
fighting."
he
said,
and
began
swinging.
This
guy
puts
a
lot
for
force
behind
his
attacks,
the
celt
thought
to
himself.
I
gotta
think
of
a
way
to
throw
him
off.
That
was
when
he
remembered
the
Burda
Club
he
had
in
his
cloak.
When
the
viking
had
an
opening,
the
celt
quickly
drew
his
club,
and
managed
to
hit
his
opponent
in
the
ribs.
The
viking
tumbled
back
over
a
table,
knocking
over
mugs.
Everybody
else
that
was
inside
the
inn
began
running
outside,
obviously
scared
of
what
was
transpiring.
The
viking
got
up
from
the
floor,
holding
a
shield
that
he
picked
up
from
a
table.
Breathing
a
litte
heavily
from
the
blow
to
his
ribs,
the
viking
was
looking
to
end
this
fight,
so
he
could
get
back
to
drinking.
The
celt
was
looking
around
to
find
a
weapon
to
take
out
his
opponent.
He
kept
looking,
until
he
noticed
a
Lancea
on
a
wall
to
his
right.
He
started
running
towards
the
wall,
when
the
viking
came
down
on
him
with
his
shield.
The
celt
flew
back
into
a
table,
knocking
mugs
&
plates
onto
the
floor.
Dazed,
he
got
back
up
onto
his
feet,
and
saw
the
viking
charging
him
with
his
shield
in
front
of
him.
The
celt
simply
stood
his
ground,
holding
the
Burda
Club
tightly
in
his
left.
When
the
viking
was
about
to
make
contact,
the
celt
swung
his
club,
hitting
his
foe
right
square
on
his
helmet.
The
viking
tumbled
over
dazed
by
the
attack,
which
allowed
the
celt
to
run
to
the
wall,
and
grab
his
Lancea.
When
the
viking
was
back
on
his
feet,
the
celt
threw
the
spear
at
his
opponent.
Seeing
the
Lancea
flying
at
him,
the
viking
quickly
raised
his
shield,
and
the
spear
got
stuck.
The
celt
picked
up
his
longsword
&
Burda
Club,
and
went
straight
for
the
viking,
who
was
busy
trying
to
pull
the
Lancea
out
of
his
shield.
When
the
celt
got
closer,
the
viking
quickly
dropped
his
shield,
and
managed
to
pick
up
his
broadsword.
He
slipped
on
a
puddle
of
ale
while
trying
to
go
for
his
weapon.
Lying
on
his
back,
the
only
thing
the
viking
could
do
was
hold
his
sword
up
into
the
air.
The
celt
unfortunately
didn't
have
enough
time
to
react
as
he
saw
the
sword
rise
into
the
air.
He
landed
right
onto
it,
going
right
through
his
gut,
and
out
the
other
side.
The
viking
tossed
the
corpse
of
his
now
dead
opponent
aside,
and
got
up
from
the
floor.
He
looked
around,
and
saw
the
mess
that
he
and
his
dead
opponent.
"Guess
I'd
better
go
to
another
inn
for
a
drink."
said
the
viking.

Ending Assessment: Although
the
Celt
has
more
kills
than
he
ever
has
in
this
fight,
he
simply
could
not
overcome
the
sheer
fury
of
the
Viking.
Strongest
Weapon:
Both
warriors
have
strong
weapons.
The
viking's
broadsword
&
bow,
as
well
as
the
Celt's
Lancea,
got
200
kills.
Weakest
Weapon:
With
a
low
22
kills,
the
Celt's
Burda
Club
is
the
weakest
weapon
of
this
fight.
