Freddy Kruger vs Captain America
Beginning Analysis: What happens when pop icons from the worlds of horror & comic books go head to head? Read on to see who...is...deadliest!?
Freddy Kruger Quick Bio
There
has
never
been
a
horror
character
for
hated,
yet
liked,
than
Freddy
Kruger.
Released
in
1984,
A
Nightmare
on
Elm
Street
showed
the
origins
of
Fred
Kruger,
a
child
killer
who
lurked
in
the
town
of
Springwood.
He
killed
children
that
appealed
to
him,
but
was
eventually
caught
and
put
on
trial.
Due
to
a
mistake
in
the
evidence
he
was
set
free,
but
this
turned
into
a
opportunity
for
the
parents
who's
children
had
died.
They
followed
him
back
to
the
abandoned
factory
where
he
lurked
after
his
kills,
and
set
the
place
aflame.
Before
he
could
be
killed
by
the
fire,
spirits
from
hell
came
to
him,
and
offered
him
a
deal.
At
that
moment,
he
became
Freddy
Kruger,
a
malevolent
spirit
that
killed
people
in
their
dreams
as
well
as
real
life.

Captain America Quick Bio
First
printed
in
March
1941,
Captain
America
tells
the
tail
of
Steve
Rogers,
a
young
Irish
American
who
wanted
to
join
the
United
States
military
to
stop
the
spread
of
the
Third
Reich.
The
one
thing
that
prevented
him
from
joining
was
his
rather
weak
body,
and
just
about
every
recruiter
he
came
across
wrote
him
off
as
being
worthless.
The
only
person
who
saw
past
his
body,
and
into
his
heart,
was
Dr.
Josef
Reinstein,
a
German
scientist
that
escaped
the
reich,
and
joined
the
U.S.
government.
Rogers
was
chosen
as
a
candidate
for
a
project
to
create
a
breed
of
super
soldiers.
He
went
through
the
tests,
and
came
out
as
Captain
America,
a
patriotic
superhero
who
defends
the
concepts
of
liberty,
justice,
and
the
American
way.

Who Got the Edge
Clawed Glove vs Super Strength Punches & Kicks: Both
get
the
edge.
Freddy's
glove
is
razor
sharp,
capable
of
cutting
through
numerious
materials
&
human
bodies.
While
it
may
take
a
little
bit
to
get
through
the
scale
armor
underneath
Captain
America's
uniform,
the
Clawed
Glove
will
easily
cut
through
the
fabric
of
said
uniform.
As
for
Captain
America's
punches
&
kicks,
they
are
on
the
level
of
superhuman.
He
can
destroy
any
wall
or
barricade
in
from
of
him
with
just
a
single
punch
or
kick,
and
any
bad
guy
that's
in
front
of
him
will
get
taken
out
(usually)
in
a
single
shot.
Telekinesis vs Throwing Shield: Freddy
Kruger's
Telekinesis
gets
the
edge.
Simply
put,
if
the
shield
if
flying
through
the
air,
Freddy
can
just
take
control
of
it,
and
throw
it
right
back
at
Captain
America
to
hurt
him,
or
use
the
shield
to
block
incoming
bullets
from
the
M1911.
Nightmares & Illusions vs Colt M1911 Pistol: Freddy
Kruger's
Nightmares
&
Illusions
get
the
edge.
Within
the
dream
world,
Freddy's
power
is
unmatched
by
anybody.
He
can
do
anything
with
a
person's
fears,
and
even
Captain
America
has
a
thing
or
two
that
he's
afraid
of.
With
his
pistol,
he
can
definately
put
a
couple
rounds
in,
but
only
while
he's
in
the
real
world.
Demonically-Charged Human Body & Scorched Skin vs Enhanced Human Body & American Uniform: Both
get
the
edge.
Freddy's
body
is
coursing
with
energy
from
hell,
and
this
allows
him
to
have
godlike
powers
within
the
dream
world,
and
fairly
impressive
capabilities
in
the
real
world.
On
top
of
his
powers,
his
flame-scarred
body
can
make
lesser
individuals
sick
to
their
stomachs,
and
is
highly
recognizable.
As
for
Captain
America,
his
body
is
infused
with
a
serum
that
has
enhanced
his
body.
He
can't
get
drunk,
he
can
perform
physical
activities
and
get
tired
much
later
than
a
normal
person,
and
a
host
of
other
small
abilities.
In
regards
to
his
uniform,
it
is
a
symbol
of
America
as
well
as
being
incredibly
defensive.
Common Quality
Pop Culture Legends: Both
Freddy
Kruger
&
Captain
America
are
legends
in
their
respective
worlds.
Freddy
Kruger
was
the
star
of
one
of
the
most
iconic
horror
films
ever
made.
To
this
day,
A
Nightmare
on
Elm
Street
is
still
high
on
the
list
of
horror
fans's
favorite
films.
With
Captain
America,
he
represents
one
of
comic's
most
oldest
superheroes.
He's
gone
through
numerous
transfomations
and
story
arc,
yet
he
still
remains
true
to
justice
and
the
American
way.
Setup
It
was
cold
in
the
arctic.
Not
the
normal
kind
of
cold
that
would
freeze
your
ass
off,
but
more
of
a
soul-numbing
kind
of
cold.
Buried
in
this
frozen
landscape
was
a
plane
that
noone
had
ever
seen
before.
Earlier,
Captain
America,
dashing
hero
of
the
United
States,
had
battled
the
infamous
Red
Skull
in
this
aircraft.
When
his
foe
was
defeated,
the
good
captain
realized
that
the
craft
was
two
damaged
to
make
a
safe
landing,
and
not
have
the
ordinance
on
board
explode.
So,
in
a
moment
of
self
sacrifice,
he
sent
the
plane
right
down
into
the
arctic,
with
the
weapons
safely
unexploded.
He
was
now
trapped
in
the
aircraft,
frozen
and
in
a
comatose
state.
He
was
still
alive,
but
he
was
asleep
for
all
eternity.
Little
did
Captain
America
know,
that
he
was
now
in
battle
with
one
of
the
most
powerful
forces
of
evil
that
has
ever
crossed
this
world.
Captain
America
suddenly
woke
up
in
the
middle
of
Times
Square,
but
it
was
not
the
place
that
he
knew.
The
buildings
were
all
damage,
and
some
of
them
were
even
toppled
over,
leaving
piles
of
rubble
in
the
streets.
The
air
wasn't
warm
and
inviting,
but
it
was
cold
and
it
felt...unnatural.
The
vibe
of
the
place
was
that
of
abandonment,
and
not
of
unity.
"What
has
happened
to
this
place?"
aske
Captain
America,
who
was
still
stunned
by
all
he
saw.
Dark,
terrible
laughter
began
eminating
all
around
him.
Quickly,
the
captain
drew
his
pistol,
and
pointed
it
to
where
he
thought
the
laughing
was
coming
from.
"Where
are
you!?"
the
captain
yelled.
"Show
yourself!!"
The
laughing
finally
stopped,
and
Captain
America
then
heard
footsteps
coming
towards
him.
He
still
waved
his
pistol
around,
trying
to
find
who
was
walking
towards
him.
Just
then,
his
gun
was
suddenly
pulled
out
of
his
hands,
and
few
into
the
street.
Just
then,
the
captain
finally
came
into
contact
with
perhaps
the
single
most
hideous
individual
to
have
ever
existed.
"Here
I
am,
he
he
he."
the
person
said.
"What
happened
here?"
asked
the
Captain.
"For
that
matter,
who
are
you?"
The
individual
took
of
his
hat,
revealing
more
scorched
skin.
"The
name's
Freddy."
the
person
said.
"As
for
what
happened
here,
well...All
I'm
going
to
say
is
that
this
place
went
kablooie!"
"What?"
asked
the
captain,
who
sounded
more
confused
than
before.
Freddy
cleared
his
raspy
throat.
"You
lost.
America
lost.
Everybody
Lost."
At
first
the
captain
was
confused,
but
after
a
few
second
he
came
to
a
shocking
conclusion.
"We
lost
the
war!?"
he
asked
in
a
shocked
tone.
Freddy
snapped
his
fingers.
"Bingo!"
he
yelled.
"Since
you
were
so
distracted
with
that
ole
mustache
guy,
you
didn't
even
notice
the
other
guys
that
snuck
in
and
had
some
fun."
"If
that's
the
case,
then
what
am
I
doing
here?"
The
captain
asked.
"Because
you're
Captain
America!"
Freddy
yelled.
"You're
the
sweetheart
of
the
red,
white,
and
blue,
and
you're
all
that
this
great
land
stands
for.
Oh,
and
you're
dead
and
in
Hell."
"What?"
asked
the
Captain.
Freddy
gave
himself
a
palm
to
the
forehead.
"You
need
to
clean
the
wax
out
of
your
ears."
he
said.
"I
just
said
you
died,
and
you're
in
hell!"
"Why
am
I
here?"
The
captain
asked,
sounding
more
nervous
than
confused.
Freddy
laughed.
"One,
you
failed
at
your
job.
Two...actually,
I
don't
know
if
there's
a
two.
Actually,
I'm
glad
you're
here."
"You're
glad
I'm
here?"
Asked
the
captain.
"Why?"
"So
I
can
kill
you!"
yelled
Freddy.
He
immediately
lunged
right
at
the
captain,
trying
to
gain
a
hit
on
his
throat.
The
captain
raised
his
shield,
and
was
greeted
by
a
barrage
of
attacks.
He
swung
his
shield
to
knock
Freddy
away,
and
sent
them
into
one
of
the
numerous
piles
of
rubble.
As
his
opponent
was
getting
up,
the
captain
managed
to
get
a
look
at
his
shield.
There
were
scratches
all
over,
and
some
of
them
actually
went
in
deep.
He
looked
back,
and
saw
that
Freddy
has
disappeared.
He
walked
over
to
where
his
pistol
had
been
knocked
to,
picked
it
back,
and
started
walking
around
to
look
for
Freddy.
The
captain
was
walking
around,
when
all
of
a
sudden,
a
white
flash
of
light
came
over
his
eyes,
and
he
awoke
to
find
that
he
was
back
inside
the
ruined
aircraft.
I
guess
the
wind
woke
me
up,
the
captain
said.
He
got
out
of
the
seat
that
allowed
him
to
pilot
the
ship,
and
started
looking
around.
The
whole
place
was
a
mess.
Ice
and
snow
were
falling
through
holes
in
the
roof
of
the
craft,
and
a
icy
wind
was
blowing
through
the
entire
place.
Captain
America
was
about
to
start
wandering
through
the
aircraft,
when
he
felt
a
tap
on
his
shoulder.
He
turned
around,
and
was
greeted
by
a
familiar
face.
Freddy
waved,
and
gave
a
demented
smile.
"Miss
me?"
he
asked,
all
the
while
giving
Captain
America
a
headbutt.
The
captain
fell
right
over
a
railing,
and
almost
hit
his
head
in
the
process.
Freddy
jumped
right
over
to
carve
the
captain
up,
when
he
was
greeted
by
a
punch
to
the
face.
Freddy
flew
into
the
wall,
then
had
two
bullets
enter
his
chest.
Captain
America
rose
right
up,
and
aimed
his
pistol
at
Freddy's
head.
"Hey
captain."
said
a
heavily
breathing
Freddy.
"You
might
want
to
look
behind
you."
Captain
America
turned
around,
and
saw
his
shield
floating
in
midair.
The
shield
swung
at
his
head,
and
created
a
satisfying
kabang.
The
captain
fell
right
to
the
ground,
and
his
pistol
promptly
fell
through
one
of
the
cracks
of
the
aircraft's
floor,
and
became
buried
by
the
snow.
Freddy
got
up
from
the
group,
and
walked
right
over
to
the
captain's
unconscious
body.
"Well.
well."
said
Freddy
as
he
was
stroking
his
chin.
"I
think
now's
a
good
time
to
see
what
the
old
captain's
dreaming
of.
To
the
people
that
are
reading
this,
you
might
want
to
stop
right
here,
cause
things
might
get
a
bit
messy.
HA
HA!"
Freddy
jumped
right
into
Captain
America's
head,
and
immediately
appeared
back
in
the
middle
of
a
illusion-free
Times
Square.
"Woah,
this
ain't
what
I
expected."
said
Freddy.
"Kiddies,
I
think
your
pal
Freddy
might
be
a
bit
over
his
head...or
somebody
else's."
Freddy
began
walking
through
the
crowds
of
people,
who
were
completely
unaware
of
his
presence.
After
a
few
minutes
of
walking,
he
arrived
at
the
front
entrance
of
an
apartment
building,
where
he
could
feel
the
presence
of
someone
very
familiar
to
him.
"Kids,
this
is
where
Freddy
departs.
Hope
to
see
you
soon!
HA
HA!"
Freddy
stepped
inside,
looking
for
where
the
familiar
presence
was.
He
would
have
taken
the
elevator,
but
that
wouldn't
satisfy
him.
He
liked
the
thrill
of
the
hunt,
and
the
slowness
of
stalking
a
victim.
Even
in
the
dream
world,
he
guided
himself
by
this
philosophy.
Oh,
how
Freddy
would
enjoy
the
kill.
This
Captain
America
had
given
him
a
hard
time,
and
even
managed
to
hurt
him
a
little
in
the
real
world.
This
would
be
a
satisfying
kill,
indeed.
Freddy
reached
the
top
of
the
apartment
building,
and
was
standing
right
in
front
a
apartment
with
the
numbers
1408
on
the
front
door.
"Wait
a
minute."
said
Freddy.
"I
think
I
saw
this
in
a
movie
once.
I
just
can't
seem
to
put
my
claw
on
it.
Oh
well,
time
to
go
inside."
Freddy
simply
passed
right
through
the
door,
just
like
water
going
through
a
strainer.
The
inside
of
the
apartment
was
just
as
surprising
as
Times
Square
was.
The
walls
were
covered
with
a
flowery
wallpaper,
the
carpet
was
a
faint
cream
color,
and
the
sounds
of
the
radio
could
be
heard.
"Kids,
I
think
Freddy
just
entered
something
really
sappy."
said
Freddy.
"Wish
me
luck,
cause
I
got
people
to
kill."
Freddy
crept
upon
along
the
wall,
and
peered
within
the
living
room
to
see
Captain
America
sitting
in
a
nice
chair.
Beside
him
were
two
kids:
a
young
boy,
and
a
young
girl
with
blonde
curly
hair.
The
boy
was
playing
around
with
a
toy
car,
and
the
young
girl
was
petting
a
kitten
sitting
on
her
lap.
"Ick,
this
is
uglier
than
the
time
i
squished
that
cockroach."
said
Freddy.
Just
then,
a
sweet
feminine
voice
called
from
the
dinner
room.
Everybody
in
the
living
room
promptly
got
up,
and
headed
right
in.
Freddy
crept
along,
making
sure
that
Captain
America
didn't
see
him.
The
family
sat
down
to
a
table
with
mashed
potatoes,
green
beans,
and
nice
juicy
steaks.
The
sight
of
a
happy
family
gnawed
at
Freddy's
decayed
bones,
who
was
at
this
point
about
ready
to
puke
at
the
sight
of
it
all.
"Looks
like
it's
time
for
me
to
make
my
grand
entrance."
said
Freddy.
"I
just
got
to
work
a
little
bit
of
my
mojo,
and
get
that
sickening
family
out
of
the
way."
Freddy
peeked
out,
and
started
doing
his
thing.
Right
as
the
wife
was
cutting
her
steak,
maggots
came
pouring
out
onto
the
floor.
She
ran
away
screaming,
and
everybody
else
got
up
to
look.
The
kids
looked
back
at
their
salads,
and
saw
that
the
tomatoes
became
eyeballs.
The
kids
ran
away
screaming
as
well,
with
the
cat
following
close
behind.
When
Captain
America
turned
around
to
look
in
the
living
room,
he
saw
Freddy
peering
from
behind
the
wall.
"What
the
hell
are
you
doing
here?"
the
captain
asked
angrily.
"Well,
that
is
an
interesting
question."
replied
Freddy.
"The
answer
to
said
question
is
that
I
still
want
to
kill
ya.
Yep,
I
think
that
answers
it
perfectly."
Just
then,
a
cutting
knife
went
right
into
his
shoulder.
He
looked,
and
saw
that
Captain
America
was
about
to
throw
another
one,
when
all
of
a
sudden
the
knife
slipped
from
his
hand.
The
point
faced
the
Captain's
face,
and
for
some
reason,
he
was
feeling...fear.
Freddy
just
smiled,
showing
his
hideously
discolored
teeth.
"Hey
capy,
I
haven't
had
a
eyeball
kabab
in
a
while."
said
Freddy
in
a
mocking
tone.
"Your
eyes
look
perfect!"
The
knife
flew
right
into
Captain
America
left
eye.
The
captain
then
felt
massive
amounts
of
pain
coursing
through
his
head.
As
quickly
as
it
went
into
his
eye,
the
knife
flew
right
out,
taking
the
eye
with
it.
He
quickly
covered
the
wound
with
a
napkin,
and
looked
up
to
see
Freddy
swallowing
his
eye
in
an
instant.
"Yummy."
said
Freddy
in
a
satisfying
voice.
"The
eyes
of
the
innocent
are
always
tasty."
Gritting
his
teeth,
Captain
America
rushed
forward
to
try
and
get
a
few
hits
in
on
Freddy.
He
was
within
distance
of
giving
him
a
good
punch,
when
he
felt
something
sharp
go
into
his
stomach.
He
looked
down,
and
saw
the
Freddy's
glove
went
through.
Freddy
pulled
the
glove
out
a
second
later,
and
blood
came
pouring
out
onto
the
floor.
Gripping
his
wound,
Captain
America
tried
to
get
up,
but
the
loss
of
so
much
fluid
was
enough
to
send
him
falling
back
down
onto
the
floor,
and
into
a
puddle
of
his
own
blood.
A
few
seconds
later,
and
the
greatest
superhero
America
had
ever
seen,
was
dead.
"Ah,
that
felt
good."
said
Freddy.
"Well,
I'll
see
ya
later
kids.
HA
HA!"
