Who Got the Edge
Kel-Tec KSG vs SPAS-12: Both
shotguns
get
the
edge.
The
SPAS-12
has
a
longer
barrel
(546mm
compared
to
the
KSG's
barrel
length
of
470mm),
and
it
can
switch
from
pump
action
to
gas-operated,
but
the
KSG
is
more
compact,
and
it
can
hold
7
shells
in
the
chamber,
along
with
a
7-shell
clip
loaded
in
the
back.
When
one
ammo
source
gets
depleated,
the
user
pushes
a
button
to
get
access
to
the
other,
essentially
giving
the
KSG
a
14-shell
capacity.
LWRC-PSD vs AK-47: Both
assault
rifles
get
the
edge.
The
PSD
has
a
higher
rate
of
fire
(850
round
a
minute
compared
to
600
rounds
a
minute
from
the
AK-47),
but
the
AK-47
has
a
longer
barrel
(415mm
compared
to
the
PSD's
barrel
length
of
200mm),
and
can
accept
a
wider
variety
of
clips
(The
AK-47
can
accept
30
&
40
rounds
clips,
as
well
as
75
drums
from
the
RPK,
while
the
PSD
can
only
accept
30
round
clips).
Remington 700 vs Dragunov: Both
sniper
rifles
get
the
edge.
The
Dragunov
has
a
higher
ammo
count
(10-round
clip
compared
to
the
Remington's
internal
4-round
magazine),
faster
firing
rate
(semi-auto
vs
bolt-action)
and
a
longer
firing
range
(1300m
compared
to
the
Remington's
firing
rate
of
800m).
The
Remington,
on
the
other
hand,
has
a
barrel
length
of
660mm,
40mm
more
than
the
Dragunov.
Tazer Shockwave vs RGD-5 Grenade: The
RGD-5
grenade
gets
the
edge.
With
the
Tazer
Shockwave,
you're
only
getting
a
single
directional
effect.
On
top
of
that,
the
weapon
is
design
to
disable,
not
kill.
With
a
RGD-5,
it
goes
out
in
all
directions,
and
it
can
kill.
Setup
Washington
D.C.,
August
15,
2011.
A
day
that
would
go
down
in
Infamy
as
one
of
S.W.A.T.'s
greatest
battles,
yet
one
of
it's
greatest
failures
at
the
same
time.
Around
10:15
in
the
morning,
a
call
was
made
to
the
local
police.
They
weren't
able
to
get
the
entire
message,
save
for
some
gunshots
in
the
background,
and
someone
shouting
"The
exhibit
has
come
to
live!".
The
had
the
police
spooked,
and
not
wanting
to
take
any
chances,
they
sent
out
a
S.W.A.T.
team
to
investigate.
When
the
S.W.A.T.
team
arrived,
there
were
already
regular
police
parked
outside
the
Air
and
Space
Museum
building.
Cops
were
standing
by
with
M16s
and
Glock
19s,
ready
to
fire.
The
lead
S.W.A.T.
officer,
Officer
Howard,
immediately
went
over
and
commandered
the
megaphone
that
one
of
the
police
officers
were
holding
in
their
hands,
and
started
speaking.
"Hostile
forces,
come
out
with
your
hands
up!
We
promise
that
we
won't
fire
upon
you."
At
first,
nothing.
About
2
minutes
later,
a
oriental
man
came
walking
out.
He
was
holding
something
in
his
left
hand,
but
nobody
could
make
out
what
it
was.
Finally,
one
of
the
policeman
came
right
over,
and
quickly
asked
Officer
Howard
a
question.
"Hey,
Officer
Howard,
does
he
look
a
little
familiar?"
"What
do
you
mean?"
Officer
Howard
asked.
The
policeman
handed
Officer
Howard
a
pair
of
binoculars.
"Take
a
look."
he
said.
Officer
Howard
looked
through
the
binoculars,
and
right
at
the
hostile
target.
He
couldn't
believe
what
he
saw,
so
he
lowered
the
binoculars,
and
pinched
his
eyes,
then
he
raised
the
binoculars,
and
looked
through
again.
The
guy
was
dressed
up
as
if
he
was
in
the
North
Vietnamese
Army.
Officer
Howard
lowered
his
binoculars,
and
breathed
a
sigh
of
stress.
I
know
I
didn't
drink
this
morning,
he
thought
to
himself.
"See
what
I
mean?"
the
policeman
asked.
Officer
Howard
knodded.
"Is
there
anybody
else
besides
this
guy?"
he
asked.
"Not
sure."
the
policeman
replied.
"This
is
the
only
one
we've
seen
so
far.
I
think..."
A
loud
screech
came
out
of
some
speakers.
The
man
who
came
outside
lifted
up
a
small
microphone,
and
began
speaking.
"American
people!
I
am
a
member
of
the
North
Vietnamese
Army.
Your
acts
of
violence
against
our
country
have
gone
unpunished
until
now.
Today,
you
will
pay
for
the
deaths
of
thousands!"
Officer
Howard
was
confused
by
the
statement.
Regardless,
he
raised
the
megaphone,
and
started
speaking
again.
"Hostile
force,
I
must
tell
you
that
the
war
has
been
over
for
decades.
If
you
will
just..."
A
loud
bang
echoed
outside
the
building,
sending
everybody
for
cover.
Officer
Howard
looked
around
to
see
if
anybody
had
been
shot,
and
noticed
that
one
of
his
own
men
had
unfortunately
been
hit
right
between
the
eyes.
S.W.A.T.: 4/NVA: 5
"Masters,
get
over
here!"
Officer
Howard
yelled.
Masters
was
the
team's
marksman.
During
his
time
with
the
team,
he
had
never
missed
a
shot.
He
took
off
the
Remington
700
from
his
back,
and
put
the
sniper
rifle
on
the
car
for
better
stability.
He
looked
over
the
entire
front
of
the
museum,
and
saw
nothing.
A
second
later,
he
saw
a
quick
flash
in
one
of
the
upper
windows.
Masters
took
the
shot,
and
sent
a
bullet
flying
through
the
window,
and
into
the
heart
of
the
enemy
sniper.
S.W.A.T.: 4/NVA: 4
The
man
sent
outside
to
communicate
with
the
police
outside
ducked
as
soon
as
Masters's
rifle
went
off.
He
looked
back
up,
and
saw
the
window
where
the
bullet
went
through.
In
a
moment
of
anger,
he
fumbled
through
his
shirt
pocket,
and
pulled
out
a
RGD-5
Grenade.
He
had
a
finger
in
the
loop
and
pulled
it,
arming
the
explosive.
He
was
about
to
throw
it,
when
one
of
the
S.W.A.T.
members
from
behind
the
barricade
raised
his
PSD
Assault
Rifle,
and
unleashed
a
torrent
of
bullets.
The
hot
lead
went
right
into
the
assailants's
chest,
sending
blood
all
over.
In
the
process,
he
dropped
his
RGD-5,
and
within
3
seconds,
it
went
off,
destroying
his
body
even
further.
S.W.A.T.: 4/NVA: 3
Everybody
looked
out
from
cover,
and
saw
the
NVA
member's
corpse
torn
up.
The
chest
was
filled
with
shrapnel,
and
the
face
was
burnt
by
the
explosion.
Officer
Howard,
along
with
Masters
and
the
other
two
S.W.A.T.
members
picked
up
their
guns,
and
jumped
over
the
police
car
barricade
to
head
inside
the
museum.
They
stacked
up
at
the
doors,
with
two
members
standing
on
either
side.
After
scanning
the
area
behind
the
doors,
it
was
safe
for
them
to
go
inside.
The
museum
was
oddly
quiety.
It
appeared
on
the
outside
of
the
building
that
there
were
more
soldiers
inside,
but
it
was
starting
to
look
like
it
was
just
a
small
group.
They
were
scanning
the
planes
hanging
above
them
in
case
any
NVA
soldiers
were
waiting
to
ambush
them,
but
luckily,
it
would
have
take
a
bit
of
work
to
get
in
one
of
them.
They
were
still
looking
around,
when
they
heard
some
shaking
behind
the
front
desk.
Officer
Howard
listed
up
his
fist,
and
the
team
halted.
He
sent
two
S.W.A.T.
members
to
slowly
approach
the
left
side
of
the
disk,
and
himself
to
the
right.
Masters
stayed
behind
to
keep
his
eye
out
for
anything
suspicious.
After
they
got
in
position,
they
quickly
got
behind
the
desk,
and
held
up
their
guns.
"You,
get
up!"
Officer
Howard
yelled.
They
were
all
suspecting
a
NVA
soldier
was
hiding,
but
it
was
just
a
civilian
who
didn't
get
out
in
time.
After
the
initial
shock,
Officer
Howard
helped
the
civilian
up
to
his
feet,
apologized
for
his
outburt,
and
asked
him
some
questions.
"You
mind
telling
me
your
name?"
"I'm
the
museum
curator."
the
civilian
said.
"My
name's
Dr.
Morris"
"Can
you
tell
me
what's
go
on?"
asked
Officer
Morris.
"I'm
not
exactly
sure
you'll
believe
me."
"Try
me."
replied
Officer
Howard.
The
doctor
cleared
his
throat.
"Where
to
begin?
Well,
early
this
morning,
the
Air
&
Space
Museum
received
a
Vietnam
exhibit.
We
set
it
up,
and
everything
looked
great.
About
an
hour
or
two
ago,
the
exhibit...."
"The
exhibit
what?"
Officer
Howard
asked
impatiently.
"It
came
to
life."
Dr.
Morris
replied
plainly.
"You're
joking,
right?"
Masters
asked
sarcastically.
"No,
I'm
not."
the
doctor
said
grimly.
"The
exhibit
was
on
aircraft
during
the
Vietnam
War.
A
couple
of
the
aircraft
had
dummies
to
fit
in
the
cockpit.
We
set
them
up,
and
we
left
to
go
about
our
day.
Somehow,
someway,
the
dummies
in
the
Vietnamese
aircraft
became
animate,
and
started
killing
everybody
in
the
building.
I
managed
to
hide
here
after
the
initial
attack,
and
managed
to
stay
alive
since
then."
"Okay."
said
Officer
Howard.
"The
way
we
came
in
is
clear.
Head
out
through
those
doors,
and
the
police
will
get
you
some
protection."
"You
don't
have
to
tell
me
twice."
replied
Doctor
Morris,
who
promptly
ran
right
out
the
doors.
Officer
Howard
regrouped
the
rest
of
the
squad.
"Alright."
he
said.
"We
managed
to
kill
at
least
two
guys.
Judging
by
what
the
doctor
said,
there's
at
least
3
other
soldiers
in
here.
Let's
take
them
out
as
quickly
as
we
can."
As
he
was
talking
to
the
squad,
a
NVA
soldier
was
creeping
up
on
them
from
a
staircase
to
their
right.
He
raised
his
AK-47,
and
aimed
it
right
at
one
of
the
S.W.A.T.
members
who
were
closest
to
the
stairs.
He
fired
off
a
few
round,
catching
the
entire
squad
off
guard.
Officer
Howard,
Masters,
and
one
of
the
other
S.W.A.T.
jumped
behind
the
front
desk
to
avoid
getting
shot.
The
other
member
of
the
squad
wasn't
so
lucky,
and
a
couple
bullets
penetrated
his
helmet,
and
got
lodged
in
his
brain.
His
body
slumped
against
the
bloodied
desk,
a
symbol
of
his
last
stand.
S.W.A.T.: 3/NVA: 3
The
NVA
soldier,
seeing
his
target
get
killed,
immediately
retreated
back
up
the
stairs
to
avoide
getting
shot
at.
"Damnit!"
growled
Officer
Howard.
"Alright,
here's
our
plan.
Masters,
you
take
Billy
and
comb
the
west
side
of
the
museum.
I'll
take
the
east
side."
"Howard,
you
going
to
be
alright?"
Masters
asked.
"I'll
be
fine."
replied
Officer
Howard.
"Since
we're
splitting
up,
we'll
be
able
to
cover
more
ground.
Now
get
going!"
Masters
knodded.
He
and
Billy
began
briskly
moving
to
the
west
side
of
the
museum
to
look
for
any
more
NVA
soldiers.
After
quickly
praying
for
his
safety,
Officer
Howard
picked
up
his
PSD,
and
began
running
in
the
direction
of
the
eastern
part
of
the
museum.
Hopefully,
they'll
find
the
other
NVA
soldiers
hiding
in
the
museum,
including
the
one
that
ambushed
them.
3
minutes
later,
Masters
&
Billy
arrived
at
the
entrance
to
the
eastern
portion
of
the
museum,
when
they
all
of
a
sudden
heard
some
voices
from
a
room
just
to
the
left
on
the
entrance.
Masters
stacked
up
on
the
left
side,
while
Billy
stacked
up
to
the
right.
"Hey
Billy."
whispered
Masters.
"What?"
asked
Billy
softly.
"Setup
that
Tazer
Shockwave
you
have
on
your
back
in
front
of
the
room,
and
we'll
give
those
NVA
soldiers
a
shock
of
their
lives."
Billy
nodded
in
agreement.
He
took
the
Tazer
Shockwave
off
of
his
back,
and
placed
it
back
far
enough
from
the
door
so
it
could
affect
both
soldiers
inside.
After
a
few
seconds,
Billy
went
back
to
the
right
side
of
the
entrance,
holding
the
button
to
the
activate
the
tazer.
The
door
to
the
room
opened
up,
and
the
two
NVA
soldiers
that
were
talking
to
each
other
failed
to
noticed
the
stacked
tazers
in
front
of
them.
Billy
pushed
the
button,
sending
dozens
of
electrified
barbs
into
one
of
the
NVA
soldiers.
His
body
seized
up,
and
fell
to
the
floor
paralyzed.
Masters
rushed
in,
and
shot
the
paralyzed
soldier
in
the
back
with
the
Kel-Tec
KSG
shotgun
he
had
been
carrying
with
him.
The
pellets
made
a
nice
clean
hole,
right
in
the
middle
of
the
soldier's
back.
S.W.A.T.: 3/NVA: 2
After
setting
the
activation
button
down,
Billy
came
right
over
to
inspect
Masters's
handiwork.
"Nice
job"
he
said.
"Thanks."
replied
Masters.
"Hey
Billy,
come
take
a
look
at
this."
Billy
walked
over
to
the
entrance
to
the
room,
and
the
two
S.W.A.T.
members
saw
an
opened
window,
and
no
sign
of
the
other
NVA
soldier.
"Where
do
you
think
he
went?"
Billy
asked
Masters.
"Not
sure."
Masters
replied.
"Come
on.
Let's
see
if
we
can
track
that
other
soldier
down."
Billy
went
back
to
the
entrance
of
the
east
portion
of
the
museum,
and
picked
up
his
LWRC-PSD
Assault
Rifle.
The
two
policeman
hopped
over
the
dead
NVA
soldier's
body,
then
proceeded
down
the
hallway
that
would
lead
them
further
into
the
exhibit.
After
a
few
seconds,
they
both
arrived
at
the
Vietnam
exhibit
that
Dr.
Morris
was
talking
about
earlier.
There
was
a
Huey
Helicopter
hanging
right
above
them,
and
a
U.S.
Fighter
Jet
hanging
further
back.
They
couldn't
spend
time
gawking
at
the
place,
so
they
kept
walking
through
the
exhibit,
keeping
their
eyes
open
for
any
signs
of
the
escaped
NVA
soldier.
Once
5
minutes
went
by,
they
were
in
front
of
the
primary
portion
of
the
exhibit.
There
were
a
bunch
of
dummies
up
on
display.
A
couple
of
them
were
dressed
up
as
U.S.
Army
Rangers,
holding
M16s,
and
looking
well.
To
their
left,
a
couple
dummies
were
made
to
look
like
Vietcong
guerillas.
Most
of
them
were
holding
MAT-49s,
while
three
of
them
were
gathered
around
an
RPD
machine
gun.
Despite
that
image,
the
empty
lot
where
the
NVA
slice
of
the
exhibit
gave
Billy
&
Masters
some
shivers.
"Think
we
should
get
out
of
here?"
Billy
asked
nervously.
"No."
Masters
replied
loudly.
"Keep
looking
around."
The
two
S.W.A.T.
member
kept
looking
for
the
escaped
NVA
soldier,
when
one
of
them
spotted
a
trash
can
turned
upside
down.
They
body
stopped
in
their
tracks,
and
they
were
unsure
as
to
what
to
do
next.
"Belly,
go
check
it
out."
said
Masters.
"Why
me?"
asked
Billy.
"Because
you're
the
new
guy."
Masters
replied.
"I'm
not
getting
paid
enough
for
this
****."
said
Billy,
who
slowly
crept
over
to
the
trash
can.
He
holstered
his
PSD,
and
gripped
both
sides
of
the
trash
can.
He
lifted
it
up,
and
all
he
saw
were
some
papers...and
a
RGD-5
Grenade.
"Run!"
Billy
yelled.
Masters
ran
to
the
nearest
toppled
over
table
for
cover.
Billy
began
to
run
for
the
same
cover,
but
the
grenade
managed
to
go
off
before
he
could
find
cover.
The
grenade
went
off,
sending
smoke
and
shard
of
metal
all
over
the
room.
One
of
these
shard
went
right
through
Billy's
armor,
and
into
his
heart.
His
body
started
to
shake,
while
blood
began
to
trickle
out
of
his
mouth.
He
dropped
his
rifle,
and
then
his
body
dropped
to
the
floor.
S.W.A.T.: 2/NVA: 2
Masters
peeked
out
from
behind
the
table,
and
saw
Billy's
lifeless
body.
Masters
got
up
to
his
feet,
and
walked
over
to
his
friend's
corpse.
There
was
still
some
amount
of
smoke
floating
in
the
air,
so
things
were
a
little
blurry,
but
the
body
that
was
Billy
could
plainly
be
seen.
Masters
lowered
his
head,
and
gave
a
prayer
to
his
comrade.
He
was
unaware
that
the
escaped
NVA
soldier
that
he
and
his
friend
were
looking
for
was
creeping
up
behind
him,
raising
a
SPAS-12
Shotgun.
A
few
brain-splattered
seconds
later,
and
Masters
would
soon
see
his
friend
Billy
again.
S.W.A.T.: 1/NVA: 2
Meanwhile,
Officer
Howard
was
wandering
through
the
western
portion
of
the
museum
looking
for
any
other
NVA
soldiers.
He
heard
a
few
gunshots
and
a
explosion
echo
from
across
the
museum,
and
hoped
that
Masters
&
Billy
were
okay.
Hopefully,
they
would
all
come
out
of
this
alive,
and
head
to
the
nearest
bar
for
a
drink
and
call
it
a
day.
Howard
came
around
a
corner,
when
he
spotted
a
NVA
soldier
scrounging
around
what
looked
like
a
buffet
table.
That's
definately
something
I'd
never
expect
to
see,
Howard
thought
to
himself.
This
was
an
opportunity
to
take
out
the
enemy,
which
was
something
he
never
passes
up.
Gripping
his
LWRC-PSD,
Officer
Howard
began
creeping
towards
a
knocked
down
table
to
hide
behind.
He
was
about
half
way
to
the
table,
when
he
accidentally
kicked
a
small
pile
of
garbage.
The
NVA
soldier
quickly
turned
around,
and
began
firing.
Officer
Howard
was
nearly
hit
in
the
leg
when
he
started
to
book
it
to
the
table.
A
few
bullets
wizzed
just
above
his
head,
narrowingly
missing
his
helmet.
Officer
Howard
set
his
PSD
to
full
auto,
and
started
firing
back.
Most
of
his
bullets
landed
right
in
the
buffet
table,
but
a
couple
went
through
the
NVA
soldier's
torso,
and
shredding
up
his
intestines.
The
soldier
dropped
his
AK-47,
and
tried
to
walk
away,
but
the
pain
in
his
midsection
was
so
immense,
he
dropped
to
the
floor.
A
few
second
later,
and
he
died.
S.W.A.T.: 1/NVA: 1
Officer
Howard
reloaded
his
rifle,
and
looked
at
corpse
of
his
NVA
foe.
Now
that
he
was
out
of
the
way,
it
was
time
to
head
back
to
the
east
section
of
the
museum
and
check
on
Masters
and
Billy.
Hopefully,
they
took
out
some
NVA
soldiers
as
well.
Officer
Howard
was
now
back
at
the
main
lobby
of
the
Air
&
Space
Museum.
He
spotted
the
corpse
of
his
comrade
who
was
ambushed
earlier,
and
nodded
his
head
in
disappointment.
Despite
that,
he
gave
him
a
quick
prayer,
and
went
about
his
business.
He
just
passed
the
body,
when
a
bullet
landed
in
the
front
desk.
Officer
Howard
spun
around
to
see
where
the
bullet
landed,
then
started
look
for
whoever
tried
to
take
him
out.
Another
bullet
shot
his
PSD
rifle
out
of
his
hands.
He
bent
right
down
to
pick
it
up,
and
a
third
shot
went
through
the
crowd
of
Officer
Howard's
helmet,
and
into
his
brain.
A
NVA
soldier
was
crouching
up
top
on
one
of
the
hanging
airplanes,
looking
through
the
scope
of
a
Dragunov,
and
breathing
heavily
after
taking
the
killing
shot.
They've
paid
for
their
crimes
now,
he
said
out
loud.

Ending Assessment: This
was
the
closest
fight
I've
ever
done,
but
I
gave
the
NVA
the
win
due
to
their
military
training,
and
their
willingness
to
go
the
extra
mile.
Strongest
Weapon:
With
300
kills,
the
NVA's
AK-47
gets
the
edge.
Weakest
Weapon:
Due
to
it's
uni-directional
&
non-lethal
usage,
the
Tazer
Shockwave
is
the
weakest
weapon
of
this
fight.
Why have a police group fight an actual army?
