Delta Force vs GSG9
Beginning Analysis: What happens when two of the world's top counter-terrorism forces go head to head? Read on to see who...is...deadliest!?
Delta Force Quick Bio
The
cream
of
the
crop
of
U.S.
military
forces,
Delta
Force
are
the
elite
of
the
elite.
Formed
on
November
21
1977
after
numerous
terrorist
incidents
during
the
years
earlier,
Delta
Force,
or
sometimes
call
just
Delta,
they
are
one
of
the
secretive
Tier
One
counterterrorism
and
special
forces
units
that
are
within
the
United
States.
In
addition
to
having
some
of
the
most
brutal
training
in
the
world,
Delta
Force
has
also
been
in
numerous
operations
since
it's
inception.
Some
of
it's
actions
include
counter-terrorism
(obviously),
hostage
rescue,
and
raids
against
terrorist
cells.
It's
17
operations
and
covert
actions
have
cemented
itself
as

GSG9 Quick Bio
Formed
just
6
months
after
the
infamous
1972
olympics,
GSG9
(Border
Guard
Group
9,
which
was
translated
from
the
original
German
name)
is
the
counter-terrorism
and
special
operations
unit
of
the
German
police.
Like
Delta
Force,
GSG9
has
some
of
the
world's
toughest
training,
and
have
been
in
over
1500
missions,
some
of
which
include
sniper
operations,
hostage
taking,
and
tracking
down
fugitives.
What
is
most
unique
about
the
group
is
that
despite
being
in
over
1500
missions,
they
had
only
opened
fire
on
5
occassions
(official
number
prior
to
the
2003
Iraq
War).

Who Got the Edge
Beretta M9 Pistol vs Walther PPS Pistol: The
Beretta
M9
gets
the
edge.
It
has
a
longer
barrel
than
the
PPS
(125mm
compared
to
81mm),
and
has
a
higher
ammo
capacity
(the
M9
can
take
15
round
clips,
while
the
PPS
can
only
accept
6,
7,
or
8
round
clips).
M4A1 Carbine vs HK G36 Assault Rifle: Both
assault
rifles
get
the
edge.
The
M4A1
has
a
lighter
weight
when
unloaded
(2.52kg
compared
to
3.6kg),
and
has
a
higher
rate
of
fire
(700
to
950
rounds
a
minute
compared
to
the
HK
G36's
firing
rate
of
750
rounds
a
minute).
The
HK
G36,
on
the
other
hand,
has
a
longer
barrel
(480mm
compared
to
the
M4A1's
barrel
length
of
370mm),
giving
it
a
bit
more
accuracy.
The
one
thing
that
both
of
these
rifles
have
in
common
is
their
30-round
magazie.
M249 "SAW" vs MG 3: The
MG
3
gets
the
edge.
It
has
a
longer
barrel
(565mm
compared
to
the
SAW's
barrel
length
of
465mm),
and
has
a
higher
rate
of
fire
(The
MG
3
can
fire
anywhere
from
700
to
800,
or
1100
to
1200
rounds
a
minute,
while
the
SAW
can
only
fire
750
to
1000
rounds
a
minute).
C4 vs Semtex: Semtex
gets
the
edge.

Common Quality
Counter-Terrorism: Both
of
these
warriors
are
experts
in
counter-terrorism,
but
it's
how
they
go
about
their
job
that
makes
them
unique.
Delta
Force
is
more
of
a
"in
your
face"
counter-terrorism
group,
often
charging
in,
and
blasting
the
whole
place
up.
GSG9,
on
the
other
hand,
is
a
bit
more
sophisticated.
They
like
to
plan
things
out
before
they
go
in
and
take
out
the
bad
guys.
Setup
It
was
a
hot
day
in
Iraq.
The
sun
was
high
in
the
sky,
the
air
was
dry,
and
there
wasn't
a
drop
of
water
in
sight.
The
perfect
conditions
for
a
training
exercise.
There
wasn't
a
single
vehicle
(abandoned
or
not)
on
the
dusty
road,
saved
for
one
U.S.
Army
truck,
rumbling
along
towards
an
abandoned
settlement.
Inside
the
truck
were
five
members
of
Delta
Force,
one
of
the
toughest
counterterrorism
groups
to
have
ever
formed
in
the
world.
Although
the
soldiers
inside
the
truck
were
as
impressive
as
they
came,
orders
from
the
top
came
down,
demanding
that
this
squad
perform
a
special
training
exercise.
They
couldn't
refuse,
especially
since
it
was
from
high
up
in
the
military
food
chain.
The
truck
finally
arrived
in
the
settlement.
It
was
actually
kinda
of
a
creepy
place.
The
settlement
was
a
Kurdish
village
during
the
late
80s,
until
Saddam
Hussein
gassed
the
entire
place,
killing
everyone
that
didn't
make
it
out.
The
settlement
was
now
a
silent
monument
to
the
innocent
lives
that
were
slain
here.
When
the
United
States
came
into
the
country
back
in
2003,
the
settlement
was
one
of
the
first
places
they
encountered,
and
have
sense
been
using
it
as
a
training
ground
for
troops
who
are
new
to
the
Middle
East.
The
truck
finally
stopped
to
a
halt.
The
engine
hissed,
and
a
final
puff
of
exhaust
came
out
of
the
tailpipe.
The
driver
took
the
keys
out
of
the
ignition,
and
placed
them
in
his
pocket.
"Hey,
we're
here."
the
driver
said
as
he
banged
on
the
back.
The
three
soldiers
that
were
sitting
in
the
bed
of
the
truck
got
their
gear
together,
and
jumped
out
of
the
back.
The
driver
in
front
picked
up
his
Beretta
Pistol,
and
got
out.
The
driver's
passenger
got
out,
just
as
he
finally
finished
unbuckling
his
screwed-up
seatbelt.
"Alright,
everybody
know
what's
going
on?"
asked
the
driver.
"Nope."
the
passenger
said
plainly,
all
the
while
trying
to
yawn.
"Of
cource
you
wouldn't
known
Leeroy."
the
driver
replied.
"You
were
asleep
the
whole
ride
here!"
"Well
excuse
me
Sarge."
replied
Leeroy.
"I
can't
help
it
when
it
gets
this
damn
hot!"
"Sarge,
go
easy
on
him."
said
one
of
the
other
soldiers.
"He's
gonna
be
the
meat
shield.
Isn't
he?"
The
other
soldiers
laughed
at
his
last
comment.
Sarge
managed
to
get
a
chuckle
in
before
getting
down
to
business
"As
tempting
as
that
sounds,
the
answer
is
no."
he
said.
"We
were
told
to
show
up
here
for
a
little
bit
of
live
fire
training,
and
that
everybody
has
to
participate."
"Live
fire
training?"
asked
one
of
the
soldiers.
"Didn't
a
couple
of
N.Y.P.D
guys
try
that
a
while
back?"
"Yeah
they
did."
Sarge
replied.
"From
what
I
heard,
they
got
their
butts
whopped
pretty
bad."
"Did
they
say
who
it
was
that
we
were
supposed
to
shoot
at?"
asked
one
of
the
other
soldiers.
"No
clue."
replied
Sarge.
"I
was
just
told
this:
shoot
to
kill."
Right
after
he
finished
talking,
a
hail
of
bullets
came
right
at
them.
Sarge
&
Leeroy
ducked
into
an
alleyway
on
the
right
side
of
the
truck,
while
the
3
other
soldiers
ducked
into
an
alleyway
on
the
left.
"****!"
yelled
Sarge.
"Guess
they
wanted
to
start
a
little
early!"
Leeroy
drew
his
own
Beretta
Pistol,
and
loaded
a
clip.
"Leeroy,
what
are
you
doing?"
Sarge
asked.
"Giving
you
guys
time."
replied
Leeroy,
and
he
charged
the
oncoming
gunfire.
"Leeroy,
no!"
Sarge
yelled.
Before
the
hail
of
bullets
went
right
through
Leeroy
and
shredding
up
his
insides,
the
squad
heard
the
strangest
of
battlecries.
"LEEEEEE
EEEEROOOOOOOOY
JENKINS!!"
Delta Force: 4/GSG9: 5
"Damnit
Leeroy!"
Sarge
yelled.
"Okay
guys,
return
fire."
The
squad
slowly
came
out
of
the
alleyways,
and
started
firing
back.
The
gunfire
coming
at
they
appeared
to
be
originating
from
a
building
directly
across
from
their
truck.
One
of
the
soldiers,
codenamed
Romeo,
raised
his
M249
SAW,
and
started
spitting
bullets
right
back
at
the
squad's
attackers.
A
soldier
from
the
opposite
side
suddenly
rose
up
at
the
worst
time,
and
a
bunch
of
bullets
went
right
through
his
neck,
and
almost
decapitated
him.
Delta Force: 4/GSG9: 4
Immediately,
the
gunfire
ceased.
Sarge
looked
at
his
soldiers
in
the
other
alleyway,
and
they
looked
back
at
him.
They
slowly
crept
out
from
cover,
and
into
the
open.
After
a
few
second
of
looking
around
for
whoever
started
shooting
at
them,
the
cautiously
approached
Leeroy's
corpse.
He
was
still
gripping
his
Beretta,
and
his
face
still
had
a
furious
look
etched
on
it.
The
eyes
were
rolled
into
the
back
of
the
head,
and
a
few
flies
were
starting
to
come
in.
"Damnit
Leeroy."
said
Sarge.
"So
what
now?"
asked
Romeo.
"Alright,
so
here's
the
plan."
replied
Sarge.
"Romeo,
you
and
me
head
towards
the
building
where
that
gunfire
was
coming
from.
You
two,
look
around
and
see
if
there's
any
surprises.
I
want
to
come
out
of
this
place
without
any
other
trouble."
The
squad
nodded,
and
broke
off
from
the
huddle.
Now
that
the
exercise
was
in
full
swing,
they
had
to
stay
on
full
alert.
Sarge
&
Romeo
were
on
their
way
to
the
enemy
building.
The
streets
&
alleyways
of
the
village
were
disturbingly
quiet,
and
a
few
skeletons,
still
dressed
in
the
native
style
of
the
region,
gave
testament
to
one
of
the
world's
most
cruelest
dictators.
"Sarge,
this
place
gives
me
the
creeps."
said
Romeo.
"I'm
with
you
on
that."
replied
Sarge.
They
kept
walking
towards
the
enemy
building,
when
they
heard
two
people
speaking.
They
ducked
behind
a
stack
of
crates,
and
listened
in
on
what
they
were
saying.
Problem
was,
they
couldn't
understand
anything.
"Romeo,
you're
the
language
guy.
Tell
me
what
they're
saying."
said
Sarge.
"I
can't."
said
Romeo
plainly.
"Why?"
asked
Sarge
in
an
irritated
tone.
"It's
German."
Romeo
replied.
"I
never
learned
the
language."
Sarge
just
shook
his
head,
and
the
two
soldiers
crept
up
a
little
closer.
They
spotted
two
opposing
soldiers
standing
just
outside
the
building.
They
had
on
gear
that
was
totally
different
that
what
he,
Romeo,
and
his
other
men
had.
The
opposing
soldiers
also
had
more
modern
looking
guns,
and
they
had
a
patch
on
their
shoulders
that
looked
like
the
flag
of
Germany.
"Sarge,
are
you
sure
the
higher
ups
didn't
tell
you
who
were
were
training
against?"
asked
Romeo,
who
at
this
point
was
starting
to
get
irritated
with
the
whole
situation.
"Positive.
"
replied
Sarge.
"They
didn't
say
squat.
It
just
makes
me
wonder."
"Well,
screw
what
they
didn't
tell
us."
said
Romeo.
He
took
a
block
of
C4
from
one
of
his
vest
pockets,
and
placked
it
right
next
to
an
old
wooden
barrel.
He
took
out
a
blasting
cap
from
his
pocket,
and
stuck
it
into
the
C4.
Sarge
placed
his
hand
on
Romeo,
and
worried
about
what
was
going
to
happen
next.
"Romeo,
you
better
not
do
anything
stupid."
said
Sarge.
"Don't
worry,
I'm
not."
replied
Romeo.
He
picked
the
SAW
back
up,
and
walked
out
of
cover.
He
managed
to
get
their
attention
with
some
whistling,
and
a
few
hand
waves.
Immediately,
the
two
guards
started
firing
back,
and
Romen
managed
to
run
out
of
the
way.
He
and
Sarge
quickly
ran
from
the
scene,
with
the
two
guards
on
their
tail.
"I
knew
you
were
going
to
do
something
stupid."
said
Sarge
angrily.
"No,
I
wasn't."
Romeo
replied.
"Just
watch."
They
got
to
a
safe
distance,
when
they
saw
the
two
guards
get
right
next
to
where
the
C4
was
placed.
Romeo
raised
the
detonator,
and
pressed
the
button.
The
C4
immediately
exploded,
sending
the
two
guards
sky
high.
Delta Force: 4/GSG9: 2
"I
take
it
all
back."
said
Sarge
with
a
surprised
voice.
"You
weren't
doing
anything
stupid
after
all."
Romeo
chuckled,
and
put
the
detonator
back
in
his
pocket.
The
two
soldiers
walked
over
the
bodies,
who
were
nice
&
crispy
and
full
of
splinters.
They
proceeded
inside
the
building,
unaware
of
what
may
be
inside.
Meanwhile,
the
other
Delta
Force
soldiers
were
continuing
to
look
around
for
clues,
when
they
spotted
the
explosion
that
Romeo
created.
They
were
alarmed
by
what
just
happened,
when
gun
came
from
the
left.
"Look
out!"
yelled
one
of
the
soldiers.
He
pushed
his
partner
out
of
the
way,
and
started
firing
back
with
his
M4
Carbine.
He
layed
down
an
impressive
amount
of
fire,
but
sometimes,
an
impressive
amount
of
gunfire
doesn't
quite
cut
it.
Numerous
bullets
went
right
into
his
chest,
shredding
his
lungs,
and
causing
his
heart
to
explode.
Delta Force: 3/GSG9: 2
The
other
soldier
just
stayed
in
his
little
hidey
spot.
The
gunfire
was
still
coming
his
way,
and
it
showed
little
sign
of
stopping.
Giving
a
quick
prayer,
the
soldier
loaded
up
his
gun
just
as
the
incoming
gunfire
stopped,
and
charged
right
in.
He
pulled
the
trigger
on
his
own
M4,
and
a
steady
stream
of
bullets
came
out
of
the
barrel.
A
few
of
them
went
right
through
the
helmet
of
one
of
the
other
gunman,
and
into
his
brain.
Without
flicking
fingers,
his
brain
was
turned
to
mush,
and
his
body
slumped
against
the
wall.
Delta Force: 3/GSG9: 1
"Yeah!"
the
soldier
yelled
in
victory.
"That
was
for
Leeroy,
you
son
of
a
*****!"
Sometimes,
cheering
out
in
victory
can
lead
to...unpleasant
things.
What
the
soldier
didn't
realize
was
that
someone
was
sneaking
up
from
behind.
He
stood
all
the
way
up,
and
raised
a
pistol
to
the
back
of
his
head.
With
a
single
pull
of
the
trigger,
he
had
eternity
to
think
upon
his
mistake.
Delta Force: 2/GSG9: 1
Romeo
&
Sarge
heard
the
gunshot.
While
they
were
hoping
that
it
was
one
of
their
own,
the
two
of
them
had
the
sneaking
suspicion
that
it
wasn't.
They
shoved
the
thought
out
of
their
heads,
and
continued
to
investigate
inside
the
building.
There
wasn't
much
inside
the
place.
A
few
ammo
boxes,
a
table
covered
with
a
map
and
other
documents,
and
a
gunrack
were
all
that
was
inside.
Romeo
&
Sarge
were
surprised
by
the
lack
of
things.
"It's
disappointing,
really."
said
Romeo.
"I
definitely
agree
with
you
on
that."
replied
Sarge.
"Let's
go
check
the
roof."
Romeo
&
Sarge
started
making
their
way
to
the
top.
When
they
got
there,
the
only
thing
that
was
waiting
for
them
was
a
unmaned
machinegun,
and
dozens
of
spent
shells.
"You
know
what,
I
take
it
all
back."
said
Romeo.
"Up
here
sucks."
"I'm
right
there
with
you."
replied
Sarge.
"Hey,
you
see
any
of
the
squad?"
"Let
me
check."
said
Romeo.
He
took
his
pair
of
binoculars
off
of
his
head,
and
raised
them
up.
He
scanned
the
entire
village,
but
there
was
no
sign
of
the
other
soldiers.
"Well,
did
you
see
them?"
asked
Sarge.
Romeo
lowered
his
binoculars,
and
sighed.
"No,
I
didn't
see
any
of
them."
he
said.
"Well
that's
just
great."
said
Sarge.
"Alright,
let's
get
back
down
to
the
ground,
and
then
we'll..."
A
loud
bang
cut
him
off
before
he
could
finish
talking
around.
He
quickly
felt
all
over
his
body
to
see
if
he
was
the
one
shot,
and
luckily,
he
wasn't.
Sarge
then
turned
to
look
ar
Romeo,
and
found
to
his
dismay
that
he
was
the
one
that
was
shot.
A
single
bullet
went
right
through
his
helmet,
then
right
through
his
brain,
and
now
his
body
was
on
the
roof
in
a
lifeless
heap.

Sarge
was
shocked
by
the
sight
of
his
comrade's
body.
Goddammit.
he
muttered.
Screw
the
exercise.
I'm
getting
the
hell
out
of
here.
Sarge
immediately
headed
back
down
the
stairs,
and
out
of
the
building.
He
spotted
the
truck
that
he
was
driving,
and
got
out
the
keys.
He
paused
to
get
one
final
look
at
Leeroy's
body.
Damnit
Leeroy,
Sarge
said
again.
He
saluted
his
fallen
comrade,
and
continued
onto
the
truck.
He
opened
the
door,
and
popped
right
in.
With
another
jingle,
he
put
the
keys
into
the
ignition,
and
turned.
Nothing.
He
tried
again,
and
there
was
still
nothing.
Damnit,
he
said,
and
took
out
the
keys.
He
got
out
of
the
truck,
and
went
to
see
if
the
engine
was
still
okay.
He
stuck
his
hand
under
the
hood,
and
found
the
hiden
level.
With
a
single
push,
the
hood
popped.
"Okay,
let's
see
what's
going
on."
said
Sarge.
He
raised
the
lid,
and
the
first
thing
he
saw
was
a
block
of
explosive
material.
"What
the..."
was
all
Sarge
could
say
before
the
explosive
went
off,
and
shredded
his
body
in
the
process.
