Who Got the Edge

Katana & Wakasashi vs Kilij & Heater Shield: Vlad gets the edge in this one. While the Katana & Wakasashi makes for a great offensive combo, and is capable of some impressive damage, it leaves little to no room for defense. The Kilij & Heater Shield, on the other hand, allows for offense & defense at the same time.

Suburito vs Halberd: Another spot for Vlad. The Suburito is fundamentally a Bokken, only it's a bit larger, and can do more damage. However, it's still made of wood just like it's smaller relative, and can be broken easily if struck in the right spot. The Halberd, on the other hand, is 7 feet of multitasking (hacking, stabbing, and hooking).

Bokken vs Warhammer: Once again, Vlad gets the edge. The Bokken is an incredible teaching tool, and weapon...if used properly. Just like the Suburito, it's made of wood, and can break easily if you know where to hit. The Warhammer allows for some amazing bludgeoning damage, as well as a little bit of piercing damage from the spike on the other side.

Yumi vs Arbalest Crossbow: This is perhaps the only spot that Musashi gets the edge. Both weapons have decent shooting ranges, but the yumi gets this due to the fact that you simply have to grab an arrow & knock it, while with the Arbalest, you have to pull the string back, hook it behind the shooting mechanism, and put a bolt in. Lesser steps mean more shots.

Setup
It's early spring among a grove of cherry trees. A calm breeze is floating through the area, and a tranquil peace is settling over the area. Miyamoto Musashi is sitting cross-legged on the ground, his breath matching the flow of the air around him. His mind is centered on his inner self, and in a swift motion, cuts a cherry blossom falling down in front of his face. He puts his Katana back into it's sheath, and goes back to meditating.

However, a dark force is coming towards him, one that he has never faced before.

A couple feet away, Vlad the Impaler is sneaking up upon Musashi with an intent to kill. In his hand was his Arbalest Crossbow, with a bolt already loaded, ready to fire. He gets within 5 feet of Musashi, when a twing snaps behind him. He turns around, and noticed that it was just a chipmunk scrounging for some seeds. Despite the minor interruption, Vlad looked back at his target. He raised his Crossbow, and released the bolt. It flew through the air with the grace of a hawk, and straight as a pillar of marble. Despite that, Musashi immediately drew his Katana, and sliced the arrow out of the air.

Shocked, Vlad attempted to reset his Crossbow. Before he could hook the string, an arrow coming from Musashi's direction landed straight into his shoulder. Wracked with momentary pain, Vlad pulled the arrow out, and looked to see if his foe was still there. He was not surprised to see thah Musashi had retreated. Angered, he threw his crossbow to the side, took off the Warhammer from his belt, and began to chase after Musashi.

A moment later, still clenching the Warhammer, Vlad had entered a small temple area. A chime was making noise as a breeze passed by, and a group of churping sparrow flew overhead. Vlad began to walk towards the main temple, when Musashi jumped on top of Vlad in an attempt to ambush him. Vlad's helmet got knocked off from the impact, but he immediately got up from the ground to see who had brazenly attacked him.

He saw in front of him a man wearing filthy rags that smelt of dirt & waste. His shoes, if they could even be called shoes, were raggedy & heavily worn. What was most laughable was his hair. Despite the small string holding it up, much of his hair was all over the place, and smelled as bad as his clothes. Even more laughable was the piece of wood in his opponent's hand, which almost looked like the weapon that knocked his Crossbow bolt out of the air. Vlad knew this man had to die.

The two men were staring each other down, checking to see each other's strengths & weaknesses. Musashi gripped the wooden blade with both of his hand, and Vlad laughed at such a simple & savage weapon would be used on him. Vlad simply gripped the Warhammer in his right hand even tighter than before. The two men finished gazing at each other, then went in for the kill.

Musashi ducked when Vlad took a swing at him, then unleashed a volley of blows from his wooden blade upon his foe's back. The pain was enough that Vlad dropped to his knees. He could hear the wooden blade being dropped to the ground, and a metallic one being drawn. A battle cry later, Musashi was about to split his foe's head in half, when a metal blade was swung at his feet, and was drugged to the ground. He saw the Vlad had taken the Halberd off of his back, and had a menaching grin slowly appeared on his face. Putting his Katana back into it's sheath, Musashi pulled out a much larger wooden blade from the left side of his belt, and got into a serious fighting stance. Vlad, impressed that his opponent dared to attack him with yet another primitive weapon, readied his Halberd for a charge.

Musashi suddenly charged Vlad, with his wooden blade held high. Vlad, deviating from his usual style, got into a defensive stance to block the incoming attack. Musashi closed in a second later, and brought his wooden blade down on Vlad position, who simply raised his Halberd to block. From there, the two men engaged in close, furious combat. Trading blows as quickly as a seasonal tsunami, Vlad managed to knock out the wooden blade from Musashi's hands, then gave him a severe laceration across his chest. The cut seemed to actually embolden Musashi, who kicked Vlad's Halberd in half.

Now the fight had gotten serious. Both men are now feeling the fatigue & injuries they received, but were still intent on killing each other. Vlad drew his Kilij from it's sheath, and the Heater Shield from his back. Musashi drew both his Katana & Wakasashi at the same time, which had impressed Vlad yet again. The two men, tired for stances & formalities, charged each other in fury. They clashed a moment later, steel on steel, fury vs fury. The sounds of the battle could be heard from the cherry trees, yet the energy of their fight could be felt from much farther away. Musashi had gotten Vlad into a vulnerable position for an attack, but his opponent had managed to dodge out of the way, and sliced Musashi right arm off. Musashi immediately dropped to the ground again, howling in pain. Smirking & laughing at the damage he had done, Vlad decided to add insult to injury.

20 minutes later, Musashi was stuck on a wooden pole, and was lifeless as a tomb. Vlad meanwhile, poured a glass of wine to drink. He toasted Musashi's corpse, and took a sip. "A fitting end" he solumnly said.

Vlad the Impaler: 666
Kilij & Heater Shield: 300
Halberd: 300
Warhammer: 33
Arbalest Crossbow: 33

Miyamoto Musashi: 334
Katana & Wakasashi: 200
Suburito: 44
Bokken: 10
Yumi: 80

Final Examination: Vlad's ferocity in up-close combat, coupled with his armor & superior weaponry, made him come out on top.

Strongest Weapon: Vlad's Kilij, Heater Shield & Halberd brought in an incredible 300 kills, making them the strongest weapons.

Weakest Weapon: The Bokken's wooden composition made it a weak weapon, gaining only 10 kills, and thus landing in the weakest weapon slot.
