WW2 Italian Army vs Somali Pirates

Beginning Analysis: What happens when the 3 country of the WW2 Axis Powers takes on the seafairing bandits of Eastern Africa? Read on to see who...is...deadliest!?

WW2 Italian Army Quick Bio
Despite the Wehrmacht or Japanese Imperial Army taking more of the spotlight, the Royal Italian Army weren't slouches in the slightest. Reformed back in 1861, the Royal Italian Army of WW2 was organized into 10 sections, each of which specialized in a different aspect of fighting. Cooperating with the Germans, the Royal Italian Army control Italy, Sicily, some nearby island territories, and a few countries in Africa. After the United States invaded Sicily back in July of 1943, Italy signed an armistice with the allies, and the Royal Italian Army finally disbanded in 1946 following the dissolution of the Italian Monarchy.

Somali Pirates Quick Bio
Despite the terror that the pirates of Somalia, they actually haven't been around as long as some may think. The pirates themselves first appeared way back in 1992, but their activities haven't been a threat to international shipping until the second part of Somali Civil War, which was from 2006 to 2009. The pirates (ranging from 20 to 35 years of age) came were local fisherman, former militia, or tech experts, and through their actions, have actually brought it money and goods to many of the poor coast towns in Somalia, and improving them. However, the damage they do to the international market is devastating: on average, millions of dollars are lost due to ransom demands, repairing ships, and recovering goods.

Somali Pirates Weapons
Short Range: Grappling Hook
Medium Range: Uzi Submachine Gun
Long Range: Dragunov Sniper Rifle
Long Range (Explosive): RPG-7 Rocket Launcher

Who Got the Edge
Carcano Bayonet vs Grappling Hook: The Carcano Bayonet gets the edge. With the Grappling Hook, you have a tool that can indeed hurt and kill, yet is constructed in such a way that might cause harm on the user himself. With the bayonet, you have a tool that can kill, and it won't hurt the user at all.
Beretta 1938A vs Uzi: Ironically, both submachine guns get the edge. Both guns have the same rate of fire (600 rounds a minute), but the 1938A can accept a variety of clips (can take 10, 20, 30 and 40-round clips, while the Uzi can only take 25 & 32 round clips) and has a greater effective range (fires from 200 to 250 meters, while the Uzi only fires up to 200 meters), while the Uzi has a longer barrel (400mm compared to the 1938A's barrel length of 315mm), and a lighter weight unloaded (3.7kg compared to the 1938A's unloaded weight of 4.2kg).
Carcano M91 vs Dragunov: The Dragunov gets the edge. It has a higher ammo capacity (holds 10 round, while the Carcano only holds 6 rounds), greater effective range (800m compared to the Carcano's effective range of 600m), longer barrel (610mm compared to the Carcano's barrel length of 540mm), and the Dragunov is a semi-auto gun, while the Carcano is a bolt-action gun.
Panzerfaust vs RPG-7: The RPG-7 gets the edge. In addition to being a reusable weapon, the RPG-7 could be shot fron 200 to 500 meters, depending on the rocket in question. While the Panzerfaust is lighter, it has nowhere near as great of a range (the rockets can fire from 30 meters to 100 meters), nor does it's payload have as great of armor penetration (the largest Panzerfaust rocket penetates up to 220 milimeters of armor, while the largest RPG-7 rocket penetrates up to 600 milimeters to 700 milimeters of armor).

Common Quality
Guerilla Tactics: Both of these warriors were known for their use of guerilla tactics. Although the Italians could initiate up-close combat, they usually (but not always) did it when they had German support. Instead, the Italians were fond of ambushing their opponents, forcing them to fight on their terms. The Somali Pirates are also users of guerilla tactics, but for them it's a matter of survival. If they are caught by any military force, then they are almost certainly killed.

Setup
Sicily, 1940. It was warm on southern coast, and the air was flowing like the breath of a beautiful woman. As the seagulls flew around the sky, the waves coming from the sea crashed against a small military base, which had the Italian flag flying proudly overhead. Although the outside of the base was calm and collected, there was definitely activity going on inside, as one Italian soldier was frantically running around.
"Gusippi, Gusippi, where the hella are you!" the soldier yelled. There was no response, so he yelled again.
"Gusippi, Gusippi, you better not be a sleepin on the job! If you are even a snoozing a little, i'm a gonna come and kicka your ass!"
He finally heard someone shouting down from the hallway. It appeared to be coming from the kitchen.
"Oh, you son-oma-bitch." the soldier growled. "If I find that youra taking a snack break, i'm a going to slap youa upside the head!"
The soldier entered the kitchen, only to see that Gusippi was cooking a feast. Already, there were meatballs and garlic bread on the table in the other room. Their delicious smell was coming into the kitchen, and mingling with the other tasty scents. Gusippi was draining a pot of pasta, when he turned around and saw his comrade standing in the kitchen, with a furious look on his face.
"Ah, Victorio!" Gusippi said happily. "You'rea just in time to helpa out!"
"Gusippi, what the hella you doing?" Victorio asked with a angry tone.
"I'm a cooking some food." replied Gusippi. "Did youa forget that Mussolini was gonna makea inspection of this place. That'sa why I'm a making da food. So he can havea nice lunch while he'sa here."
The furious look quickly disappeared off of Victorio's face. "Oh, I ah see." said Victorio. "Well, I guessa that ain't a too bad!"
Just then, another soldier came running into the kitchen. He was breathing heavily, and sweat was dripping of his forehead.
"Papino, what's wrong?" asked Victorio.
Papino caught some of his breath back. "Victorio, you gotta come see this." he said with a worried voice.
"Gusippi, keepa cooking." said Victorio. "This'll probably roll over in a minute." Victorio and Papino briskly walked out of the kitchen, and went to see what scared Papino. Little did Victorio know that what scared Papino, was going to scare everybody on the base.
Victorio and Papino arrived at the east wall, and saw a boat floating off the coast. Victorio raised up a pair of binoculars, and took a look at the boat. It appeared to be nothing more than an average fishing boat. Victorio could see that the anchor was dropped, and the boat was gently floating in place. Victorio lowered the binoculars, and turned to face Papino.
"Papino, that's a what you're a afraid off." Victorio said.
"I'm not a kidding." Papino replied. "I saw some strangea looking people get into smalla boats, and float away."
Victorio stood still for a moment, then he walked over to the end of the east wall, and called out to the two soldiers working on a motorboat below them.
"Heya, you two! Go take a look at that a fishing boat over there!"
The two soldiers saluted back at Victorio, and they stepped into the motorboat and sped away. Victorio raised his binoculars again, and watched the motorboat float alongside the fishing boat, and the two soldiers climbed into the craft to look around for some sign of trouble. A few minutes went by, and the two came back out onto the deck, and gave Victorio a thumbs up. Smiling, Victorio lowered the binoculars, and turned to face Papino.
"See, there's nothing wrong witha the boat." Victorio said. "It's probably just some..."
An explosion erupted on the boat. One of the soldiers was consumed by the fire and the heat, while the other luckily jumped back into the motorboat before he was hurt.

Victorio & Papino looked on in horror. As the soldier in the motorboat started the engine, two smaller motorboats appeared out from behind some of the nearby rock outcroppings, firing guns up into the air. The soldier finally started the motorboat's engine, and began speeding back towards the base. The other motorboats gave chase, and started firing. Victorio & Papino picked up their Carcano rifles, and fired at the attacking motorboats. Meanwhile, the Italian soldier took a quick look back, and fired off the Beretta submachine gun he had with him, and by some chance of luck, he managed to hit one of his attackers in the chest, and the body fell into the sea.

The Italian soldier kept on speeding back to the base, and almost made it, when one of his attackers raised a rifle, and landed a perfect shot straight through the heart. The soldier's lifeless body slumped into the boat, as it collided with the wall. The wreckage, as well as the body, began to sink down into the briny depths of the ocean, where they would be claimed by all sorts of underwater entities.

Victorio & Papino continued to fire back at their attackers with furious abandon. Already, two of their own have been slain, and only they and Gusippi were left alive. Still, they had to hold this fort, as their great leader was arriving later later today. When their ammo was low, they began retreating back into the fort to regroup with Gusippi, who was hopefully still cooking in the kitchen.
They made it back into the Kitchen, but Gusippi was nowhere to be found. They looked in the dining room, and saw that their comrade had indeed cooked a feast, but he wasn't there. They continued to look around for Gusippi, but he simply could not be found. Just then, their attackers arrived in the hallway, and started firing away. Victorio & Papino ducked into rooms on opposite sides of the hallway, and cautiously returned fire. With little ammo on their persons, they had to be cautious with their shots. This gunfight went on for 3 to 4 minutes, when an unlikely savior arrived to their rescue.
"Eata rocket, you black son-ofa-bitches!"
A small but speedy missle flew past Victorio & Papino, and made contact with some of the attackers. Just like the fishing boat, the victims were consumed by the fire and the heat.

Victorio & Papino came out of the rooms they were in, and were surprised to see Gusippi standing there with the remnants of a German Panzerfaust launcher in his hands.
"Gusippi, where the hella did you get that?" asked Papino with a surprised voice.
Gusippi stood there, as he seemed to be in a slight state of shock. After a moment, he dropped the launcher tube, took the Carcano off his back, and replied.
"Oh thata. I gotta that from a German friend a mine in a card game."
Victorio & Papino simply nodded. They started making their way to the bodies of their attackers, when the survivors of the explosion made a fierce counterattack. They opened fire on the three Italians with their submachine guns, and the Italians began to retreat. While they were running, Gusippi had the misfortune of having a few bullets got right through his back. The hot lead tore up his lungs and heart, but it was the single bullet that went through the middle of his spine that sealed his fate as the body tumbled to the ground.

Victorio & Papino didn't look back. They knew that their comrade was dead, and there was nothing the two of them could do about it.
The two arrived at the top of the north wall, which also happened to face the sea. By this stage, the two only had a single clip left, but they still had their bayonets left. Papino locked the door behind them, but their attackers were not far behind. A second later, Papino could see the door beginning to budge. Looking at his comrade, Papino equipped his Carcano with the bayonet, and was about to unlock the door, when Victorio placed a hand on his shoulder to stop him.
"Papino, what the hella you gonna do?"
"I'm a gonna kill those son-oma-bitches." replied Papino. "If youa don't a takea your hand off, I'm a gonna slice it off before I slicea their heads off!"
Victorio nervously took his hand off. Papino unlocked the door, opened it, and charged right at his attackers. Victorio quickly closed the door, and as he was putting the bayonet on his Carcano, he heard Papino let out a fierce battle cry.
"Come and a get me you dark sons-of-bitches!"
Victorio continued to hear the fight. He had never seen Papino in such a bloodthirsty state, nor did he realize that his otherwise happy friend could actually kill. He could hear Papino fighting one of the attackers, until he heard a few gunshots go off. Victorio waited for any sign of his comrade coming back alive, but after one minute, that desire was looking rather bleak.

Things were still silent. Too silent, thought Victorio. Holding onto his bayonet equipped Carcano, he slowly opened the door to take a peak, and saw that his friend Papino had indeed died, but not before taking one of his attackers down with him. A small smile appeared on Victorio's face, and he went to inspect his friend's lifeless body. Before he could reach him, the sole surviving assailant swung a Grappling Hook right at his head.
Victorio backed up onto the wall, as his assailant kicked the door right down. He was a rather dark individual, not to mention tall. He was gripping the hook in his right hand very tightly, and was giving Victorio some of the nastiest vibes he ever felt. Victorio kept his attacker back away with the bayonet, but all this did was anger his attacker even more. The attacker simply walked within distance of the bayonet, and grabbed the rifle. After a quick tug-of-war, Victorio's attacker pulled the Carcano out of his hands, and tossed it over the wall. Victorio tried to wrestle his opponent so he'd fall over the wall, but all it got for his efforts was perhaps the most splitting headache he'd ever felt in his entire life.

Weakest Weapon: With only 22 kills, the Somali Pirates's Grappling Hook is the weakest weapon of this fight.
