Pirate vs Ninja

Beginning Analysis: What happens when a sea-faring marauder from the Caribbean takes on Japan's most lethal killer? Read on to see who...is...deadliest!?

Pirate
Short Range (1): Cutlass
Short Range (2): Blunderbuss
Medium Range: Flintlock Pistol
Special: Boarding Axe

Ninja
Short Range (1): Ninjato
Short Range (2): Shuriken
Medium Range: Blowgun
Special: Kama

Who got the Edge
Cutlass vs Ninjato: I'm calling this a tie. Simply put, both swords can slice through a pig with just 1 swing.

Blunderbuss vs Shuriken: The Blunderbuss gets the edge. If you're in front of this gun, you cannot avoid the blast. On top of that, you could put a variety of metallic object in it to fire, and the gun goes off without a hitch (except when you're holding the gun in a tilted manner).

Flintlock Pistol vs Blowgun: I know this is going to seem strange, but I'm gonna make this one a tie. Both of them can kill in one shot, but that is the only thing both have in common. The Blowgun can be reloaded, while pirates often carried 4 to 6 Flintlock Pistols.

Boarding Axe vs Kama: At first I was considering this one a tie, but I decided to give it to the Boarding Axe. The Axe can slash & pierce, while the Kama is just a slashing weapon with minimal piercing capabilities.

Setup
After a long day of pillaging Spanish ships, a pirate captain settles into a local tavern for some drinking & wenching. He sits down at the middle of the bar, raises his hand, and shouts out "Some ale for a grimy seadog!!" At first, there's no response. The captain slams a fist onto the counter. "Come on!" the captain shouts "where's my ale!?"

The few people in the tavern were a little startled by his voice. All of that subsided when a full mug came sliding down the bar table. The captain catched it with his left hand, and was surprised by the fact that he saw noone pour it for him. Despite that, he was still happy that he had his drink. As he lifted the mug, a shadowy figure from behind the bar, but out of the captain's sight, lifted up a small stick & placed it on his lips. As the mug was about to touch the captain's lips, the figure blew on the stick, and a pointed needle came shooting out. Instead of going for the neck, it hit the mug.

Startled, the captain jolted out of his stool, dropping his ale in the process. Looking around for whoever tried to give him the needle, he caught a quick glimpse of his attacker's eyes in the shadows behind the bar, and ducked out of the way when he saw another flying object came at him. This one landed into the neck of an unfortunate bystandard, who fell to the ground in less than a second.

Taking out two of his Flintlock Pistols, the pirate captain went into the back of the bar so kill the fool who had blatently tried to take him by surprise...and making him drop his ale.

A moment later, the captain was in the back of the bar. It was a small room, with pots & pans on top of a stove, and barrels of rum & ale over in the corner. A table in the middle of the room had a knife on it, with some freshly cut meat. Scanning the room, he saw the shadowy figure pop out of the cubboard, throwing metal stars at him. He got out of the way, firing his pistols at the star thrower. The figure dodged both of his shots, and went down a small hallway. Angered, the captain dropped the now useless pistols onto the floor, and drew out another one. The chase was on!

The captain was now in what appeared to be the second floor of the tavern. The hallyway was narrow, but not so narrow that he couldn't move around in a fight. as if a mental cue went off, the shadowy figure popped out of a closet, and was right on top of the captain, making him drop his pistol. The figure took out what looked like a sickle, and began swinging. The attacks were fast, but not so fast that he didn't have time to grab his Boarding Axe. With the next attack, the captain was able to block it, and throw off his assailant.

The two men both got up off of the ground, and finally had a chance to gaze upon the other. The shadowy figure pulled out a long, thin blade. The captain, giving little more than a small chortle, pulled out his Cutlass, who's blade was as sharp as the salty spray of the ocean. With weapons in hand, the two men made a beeline for the other.

The shadowy figure was the first to attack. With a flurry of blows, he was able to make sure that the captain wasn't able to land an attack. However, he was surpised to see the axe come down on his Kama, effectivly taking it out of the fight. Jumping back after the attack, the shadowy figure was shocked that the captain was still standing. Not only that, but he was laughing as well. Deciding that a new strategy was required, the shadowy figure ran to the end of the hall, and jumped out of the window, sending glass into the cobblestone street. "Bloody Hell." the captain mumbled to himself, and went back downstairs.

Now out of the tavern, the captain went to where his attacked jumped out of the window. At this stage, a small crowd had began to gather around the captain. Although irritated that people were beginning to pay attention, he realized that the could provide him some cover from his attacker. This was for naught, as the shadowy figure jumped at him from out of the crowd. He was able to block the attack, but the force of the blow caused him to drop his axe.

At this stage, the two men were tired of ambushes & strategy. They just simply began trading blows with their swords. The crowd looked on, and were awed by the spectacle they were seeing. The shadowy figure, using the crowd as a source of energy, had a newfould zeal in his attacks. Unfortunately, it wasn't enough, as he felt a shart pain go through his side. He looked down, and saw that the captain's blade went into his body, and out the back.

The figure fell to the ground in pain, but it didn't matter. Once the Blunderbuss was pointed at his head, the battle was over.

Pirate: 690
Cutlass: 145
Blunderbuss: 350
Flintlock Pistol: 350
Boarding Axe: 145

Ninja: 310
Ninjato: 150
Shuriken: 5
Blowgun: 5
Kama: 150

Final Examination:
Just like Pirate vs Knight, you don't bring a knife to a gun fight.

Strongest Weapon: The Blunderbuss & Flintlock Pistol gained an overwhelming 350 each, making them the strongest weapons.

Weakest Weapons: In contrast, the Ninja's Shuriken & Blow gun brought only 5 measly kills to the table, making them the weakest weapons.
