German Wehrmacht vs Japanese Imperial Army

Beginning Analysis: What happens when two Axis allies fight each other instead of the enemy. Read on to see who...is...deadliest!?

Wehrmacht
Short Range: Luger PO8 Pistol
Medium Range: MP40 Submachine Gun
Long Range (1): Kar98k Bolt-Action Rifle
Long Range (2): MG42 Heavy Machine Gun
Explosive (1): Panzershreck
Explosive (2): Stick Grenade

Imperial Army

Short Range: Type 14 Nambu Pistol
Medium Range: Type 100 Submachine Gun
Long Range (1): Arisaka Bolt-Action Rifle
Long Range (2): Type 99 Light Machine Gun
Explosive (1): Type 4 Mortar Launcher
Explosive (2): Type 99 Grenade

Who got the Edge
MP40 vs Type 100: This is a close one, considering that both fire at about the same rate (MP40 fires 550 rounds-a-minute, vs 600 rounds-a-minute from the Type 100), but i give the edge to the MP40 for it's 32-round clip (Type 100 only had a 30 round clip), and it's better accuracy.

Kar98k vs Arisaka: A tie. Both are highly deadly, and highly accurate rifles.

MG42 vs Type 99: The MG42 is clearly the winner. It was a highly versitle machinge gun. It could be belt fed or loaded with 100-round clips, and if the barrel got too hot, it could be switched out with a cool one in a relatively quick amount of time. Plus, it got the name "Hitler's Buzzsaw" for a reason.

Luger PO8 vs Type 14 Nambu: Despite being based off the Luger, the Nambu just doesn't cut it. While it can definately kill, it just doesn't have the oomph like the Luger has. Edge to the Luger.

Panzershreck vs Type 4 Rocket Launcher: Unfortunately, the Type 4 gets the edge. It simply has a far greater range than the panzershreck.

Stick Grenade vs Type 99 Grenade: The stick grenade gets the edge. Unlike the Type 99, you don't have to clang it against your helmet, and the stick gives it greater throwing range.

Setup

A German supply truck carrying 5 men (2 in the front, 3 riding in the back) rides into the middle of an occupied town. About 1 or 2 days ago, contact from the town was cut off. They arrived in town, and park the truck near the main courtyard. The 5 men get out of the truck and being to investigate. The first thing they notices was the flag that was raised. It was pure white, with a large red dot in the middle. The commander of the 5 men walked towards the flagpole and began to lower it, when a loud crack came through the air. A sniper shot the commander right between the eyes, and fell to the ground just as quickly.

The four soldier immediately ran for cover, with two of them running behind the truck, once ducking towards a sandbag pile, and the other jumping into some bushes. The sniper decides to take another shot at one of the men peeking out from behind the truck. A second later, a bullet barely misses the soldier who was peeking from the truck's cover. Taking out the Panzershreck from the back of the truck, the soldier tries to locate where the sniper was. A loud bang later, and he was able to approximately guess where the sniper was hiding. He points the rocket launcher in the direction where he guessed the sniper was, and took the shot. A quick scream & loud explosion later had told the soldier that his guess was right.

After the explosion, the four remaining soldiers got out from behind their cover, confident that no-one was after them at the moment. One held an MP40, another soldier a Kar98k, and the final soldier with a Luger PO8 in his hand & stick grenades strapped to his belt. The one with the Panzershreck places it into a box right next to the truck, and proceeded to take out an MG42 from the back of the truck. They got into formation: the soldiers with the MP40 & MG42 were in front, the soldier with the Luger & grenades was in the middle, and the soldier with the Kar98k was in back, providing cover.

They proceeded down a walkway, intent on taking out whoever had taken over the town. The got to an intersection a minute later, when a whistling noise suddenly came into existance. The soldiers immediately began to look in their vicinity to see what was making it, and the soldier with the MP40 suddenly noticed a small metallic object falling down on their position. Before he could get a shot-out to his commrades, the object fell right in front of him, spreading his body parts & equipment all over the place.

Wehrmacht: 3/Imperial Army: 4

The 3 soldiers who avoided the blast ran back to see what happened, and saw their friend blown to pieces. They had a moment of silence, then picked up his equipment, and moved away as quickly as possible before another mortar was shot their way again.

Now that their numbers dwindled, the soldiers were much more cautions. Never in their life have they encountered a group of fighters who could actually fight as well as they could! Regardless, they proceeded into a tightly walkway, constantly watching for anything suspicious. As luck would have it, they finally spotted their foe, who was too busy smoking a cigarette to even notice that someone was sneaking up on him. Wanting payback for his fallen brothers, the soldier with the MG42 mounted it onto a small sandbag wall infront of him, and let loose a thunderous roar of bullets. The damage was so severe, he was cleanly cut in half.

Wehrmacht: 3/Imperial Army: 3

After he was shot, the soldiers climbed over the way, and examined the corpse. They were satisfied that they had fought back, but unfortunately, were letting their guard down. As they were examining the remains, a soldier from the other side came sneaking up with a wicked looking gun. With a shout of "BANZAI!!!", he began charging straight at them, letting loose a volley of bullets. His suicide attack was able to take out two of the soldiers.

Wehrmacht: 1/Imperial Army: 3

The last Wehrmacht soldier, who managed to duck out of the way in the nick of time, managed to get a shot off with his Luger, landing a shot straight in the charging soldier's chest. He fell to the ground with a "Thud"

After the pistol blast, the last soldier knew that he gave away his position. Because of such, he quickly picked up the MP40 that one of his commrades had, and went back through the alleyway that they went through a moment ago.

Knowing that he was the last of his group, his eyes & ears were constantly on alert for the enemy. As he was walking back to the intersection where a previous commrade was blown to pieces by mortar fire, and decided to walk back to the truck and make an escape. Just as he was about to go on the right path, an enemy soldier jump out from behind cover. Hearing his foe landing, he quickly turned around and fired off a couple shots from the MP40. Unfortunately, he only gave his opponent a grazing shot to the shoulder. Realing from pain, the enemy soldier could do nothing but watch as his assailant was walking over to him, placing what looked like a potato masher into his pocket, and pulling a pin. The Wehrmacht soldier ran behind a corner to avoid the blast. With a loud "Blam!", the only thing left was bits & pieces

Getting out from his cover, the soldier examined his handywork, and was pleased with the results. Despite that, he knew that he couldn't leave, not as long as there was one enemy fighter remaining alive. Finally feeling tired & fatigued, he decided to have his enemy come to him, rather that he go after the enemy.

In the meantime, a soldier from the other side is making rounds to examine his fallen brothers. Shocked that soldiers from the Glorious Nippon were being savagely killed, he paused for a moment when he heard a long bang. Trying to figure out where it came from, he heard another loud bang, and another. He moved in the right direction, hoping to finally confront his foe.

He appeared in the courtyard a moment later, where an intense battle took place earlier. Seeing that there was a truck in sights, he decided to examine it. He opened the front door, and saw nothing. Then he thought to himself, hie foe must be hiding in the back, so he went around to the back. He climbed in the back, unaware that his foe was right behind him. Whistling to get his attention, the solder turned around to see a man with a rocket launcher he'd never seen before. With nowhere to run, the Wehrmacht soldier took his shot. The rocket flew with the speed of a cheetah, hitting the truck, and obliterating the occupant. With a loud "Zeig Hiel!!", he dropped the Panzershreck and walked out of town, know that he deserved some rest.
