Ghosts vs Werewolves

Ghosts Quick Bio
Taken from Wikipedia: In traditional belief and fiction, a ghost is the soul or spirit of a deceased person or animal that can appear, in visible form or other manifestation, to the living. Descriptions of the apparition of ghosts vary widely from an invisible presence to translucent or barely visible wispy shapes, to realistic, life-like visions. The deliberate attempt to contact the spirit of a deceased person is known as necromancy, or in spiritism as a séance.

Werewolves Quick Bio
Taken from Wikipedia: A werewolf, also known as a lycanthrope (from the Greek λυκάνθρωπος: λύκος, lukos, "wolf", and άνθρωπος, anthrōpos, man), is a mythological or folkloric human with the ability to shapeshift into a wolf or an anthropomorphic wolf-like creature, either purposely, by being bitten by another werewolf, or after being placed under a curse. This transformation is often associated with the appearance of the full moon, as popularly noted by the medieval chronicler Gervase of Tilbury, and perhaps in earlier times among the ancient Greeks through the writings of Petronius.

Who Got the Edge
Dissipating Touch vs Werewolf Bite: The ghost's Dissipating Touch gets the edge. While a werewolf's bite is power, and can chew up just about anything, the ability for the ghost to produce a variety of effects with it's touch (mostly harmful, rarely harmless) overcomes the sheer force of his canine opponent.
Telekinesis vs Werewolf Claw: Both attacks get the edge. Unlike my previous match, the werewolves aren't bringing any physical objects to the fight, which means that the ghost has to use objects that are scattered around in it's environment. Having said that, a ghost can still be deadly if it manipulates certain objects, especially ones with a sharp edge or point. As far as the werewolf's claws, they can shread through just about anything. Coupled with their impressive arm strength, they can rip apart a living (or unliving) being in just a few seconds.
Posession & Illusions vs Lycanthropy: The ghost's Posession & Illusions get the edge. These powers, perhaps more so that the ghost's touch or ability to manipulate object from afar, are the most powerful abilities in it's arsenal. With posesssion, a ghost can sneak up behind a werewolf, and take control of it. From there, it can sneak right into the pack, and kill them from the inside out. If a ghost doesn't want to posess, then it can simply use it's illusion to cause distractions, turn allies against each other, or to lead someone to their death. To date, there has been no myth, story or legend detailing a spectral spirit become a spectral wolf-like creature after being bitten by a werewolf.
Corporeality to Incorporeality vs Full Moon Transformation: The ghost's ability to go from solid to incorporeal, and back again, gets the edge. This can allow a ghost to interact with the living a bit more easily, or to setup an ambush. While transforming on the night of a full moon can be useful under the right circumstances, it still means that a werewolf can only transform on this night, unlike a ghost, which can transform itself at will.

Pop Culture Fixtures: Despite not being as popular as zombies & vampires, ghosts & werewolves are still fixtures in our pop culture. In recent weeks, Paranormal Activity 3 (the third movie in the Paranormal Activity series), was released onto the big screen. It brought in big bucks, and showed audience the darker & more violent side of ghosts. As for werewolves, they've been in a variety of entertainment devices, some of which are love, and some of which are hated. Their myths are still powerful today, garnering much fear & respect in their native lands.

Setup
It was a dark night in the woods. Mist was slowly creeping around, and the stars were shining brightly. The moon itself was particularly bright, and it mystical essence was scattering all over. For the most part, it was nice. However, the moon also caused a fair share of trouble.
On this night, a pack of 5 werewolves were running wildly through the woods. Not long before, they had rampaged through a nearby town on a killing frenzy. A dozens and a half people died, not to mentioned the dozen's of others who were hurt and the damage that was. Before the werewolves could cause further damage, the town's hunters came to the rescue, and drove the pack off. Now, the werewolves were looking for a place to sleep, and a place to hide from any hunters that may be following them. Luckily, an abandoned fort seemed like just the place.
The pack ran right inside the place. The abandoned fort was owned by the nearby kingdom, who used it as an observation post. Some time ago, an unidentified horror ravaged the place, and killed everyone that was inside. Since that incident, reports from the nearby villages suggest that the place was haunted by the spirits of the soldiers that were inside, and so nobody traveled to it again, and the fort became a dark testament to whatever it was that went through. Unfortunately for the recently arrived pack of werewolves, they had no clue as to what was in store for them.
The pack cautiously crept about, sniffing for any sign of life. One of the werewolves spotted a pile of skeletons in the middle of the fort, and the rest came over to investige. The sight of so many bodies would teriffy lesser individuals, but to a pack of hungry beasts, it just excited them. One of the werewolves began reaching for a leg bone, when a tarnished sword lying on the ground suddenly rose up, and flew right into the beast's throat. The werewolf struggled to get the sword out, while the rest of the pack watched on. Finally, the werewolf pulled the blade out, but in doing so had released a torrent of blood. The creature collapsed to the ground in a puddle of it's own blood, and died just a few seconds later.

The rest of the pack was stunned by what just happened. One of them went over to their packmate's body, and picked up the sword that killed him. He gave the weapon a big sniff, and smelt the one thing that all werewolves feared: silver. Quickly, he threw the weapon away, and the pack began running towards the exit of the fort, when the gate came crashing down, and trapped them inside. The pack stopped moving, and turned around to see a human being floating in midair.
One of the werewolves began sniffing, and from the way he reacted, he could tell that something wasn't right. The human gave out a quick laugh, then began floating into the main area of the fort. The pack, angered that one of their own was slain, split into 2 groups. Two of them went after the disappearing human, while the others stayed outside to search for anything that might be wandering around.
Meanwhile, the so-called human reappeared inside. This individual was one of the soldiers who died in the fort that fateful night. He and four other soldiers were transformed into ghosts, cursed to wander this fort for all eternity. When living beings visited the fort, they tried to communicate with whoever visited, but the guests were so scared by the sight, they ran away. When the fort was abandoned, the spirits grew enraged, and began thinking thoughts of violence against their once living bretheren.
The ghost started looking for a place to hide, since their furry guests were probably looking for them. The spirit went into the fort's kitchen, and hid there. The spirit chuckled at his own cleverness, and the fact that he successfully slain his first living being. He stopped laughing, when one of the werewolves made his way in. The beast started sniffing around, when a pile of dishes fell over. The beast turned around, and caught a quick glipse of the the ghost that caused his pack trouble. Slowly, and as quietly as it could, the werewolf crept towards when the spirit was lurking, who was unaware of the incoming monster. The ghost became solid because it thought that it was safe. When it rose up to see if the cost was clear, his head was greeted by the werewolf's claw. They tore a chunk off, and the supposed flesh turned into grey, lump ectoplasm. The spirit tried to regain it's composer and become insubstantial, but the werewolf grabbed at it again, and started tearing off larger chunks of it's body. After 5 seconds, the spirit was more flayed than a piece of cube steak, at which point the werewolf just tossed the body aside.

Ghosts: 4/Werewolves: 4

The spirit's body turned back into it spectral form, and it leaked large quanties of ectoplasm. The werewolf got a lick of it off of it's claw, and was disgusted by it's taste. The creature began wandering around some more, looking for any more prey to kill.
Meanwhile, the two werewolves were busy tearing up the fort's courtyard. They faintly heard the battle inside, so they stepped up their efforts in search for their mysterious prey. As they ravaged their surroundings, two more ghosts were creeping up to the werewolves's  position. They stayed insubstantial so that any possible scent coming from them wouldn't be detected. One of the ghosts silently floated to the werewolf that was closest to him. The beast was too busy rumaging through the various boxes & barrels lying around. As the werewolf ripped open a particularly large box, the ghost placed his wispy hand onto the creature's head. Immediately, the beast began convulsing as it's brain slowly turned to mush. The other werewolf noticed his packmate being hurt, but a concussive blast pushed him into a bail of hay. A few seconds later, and the ghost had successfully turned the werewolf's brain into a pool of heated jelly.

Ghosts: 4/Werewolves: 3

The werewolf in the hay pile got back up, and saw his packmate lying dead on the ground. He went over to mourn the loss as only a werewolf could, when it felt a strange presence enter his body. A moment later, the presence start to force it's way into the werewolf's mind, and the two had a fierce mental battle. Unfortunately, the werewolf wasn't strong enough, and the presence had completely taken over, mind, body, and soul.
Meanwhile, two surviving werewolves regrouped inside the main area of the fort. Already, two of their packmates were slain by their elusive prey. They had never encountered an opponent that couldn't be killed, until they came here. These specters were challenging their supremacy, and it was as supremacy that they were happen to defend. Quickly, the two beasts set out to look for more of the specters, hoping to find them as soon as possible.
The werewolves were making their way through the fort armory, and the hair on the back of their scruffy necks were pointed all the way up. One of them could smell the accursed smell of silver around them. Not wanting to end up like their packmate, they were making a quick getaway, when two suits of armor came off their stands, and pointed weapons they were holding right at the beasts. The werewolves cautiously started backing up, when they saw a specter rise up from the ground. The ghost gave a wicked smile, and the two suits of armor slowly marched forward.
Quickly, one of the werewolves picked up a unmoving suit of armor, and threw it right at the two incoming ones. It knocked apart one suit completely, and tore off the arm of the other suit. Promptly, one of the werewolves went after the suit, while the other went for the specter. The werewolf was clawing away at the spirit, all the while having the spirit just giggle at him. Finally, the beast roared out in anger, and pounced the specter. He was holding the ghost onto the floor, biting off pieces of his spectral flesh. The spirit could do nothing but cry out in pain. For some reason, he couldn't seem to break free from the beast's claws. There was something about it that felt very different from other living things. Something it couldn't put it's ghostly finger on. A bite to the throat a second later, the spirit wouldn't have to think about anything.

Ghosts: 3/Werewolves: 3

The werewolf stood up from it's kill. The taste of it's spectral flesh was very displeasing, and it promptly spat out the ectoplasm. The beast no longer heard his packmate or the animated suit of armor. The werewolf turned around, and saw that the suit of armor had indeed fallen to pieces one the spirit was slain. However, the beast could also see that it's packmate was lying dead on the floor with a silver spear through it's chest. The blood tarnished the otherwise well-crafted spear point.

Ghosts: 3/Werewolves: 2

The werewolf howled out in pain. Another of it's packmates was dead. It may have been the very last one to survive. Immediately, it's thoughts were to escape this place, and head towards somewhere safer. Where that place was, the beast didn't know. It just knew that anywhere was safer than here.
The beast began it's journey out of here through the armory, and out the way it came. It went through the kitchen, where it saw that one of his packmates had a fierce battle, then through the main chamber of the fort. Finally, it entered the courtyard, and was surprised to see that there was one of his packmates still alive. However, something didn't feel right, as the beast was eminated a strange kind of energy. Regardless, the werewolf went over to see how it's packmate was doing, when said packmate suddenly turned around, and began attacking. That was when the werewolf noticed that it's packmate's eyes were glowing with a bright blue light.
The werewolf didn't want to fight his packmate, but it appeared that it had no choice. The two werewolves circled each other, waiting for the right time to pounce the other. Finally, the werewolf with the blue eyes charged the other, and the two engaged in a gory brawl on the ground. They rolled back and forth, biting and clawing at each other. Fur and blood were getting scattered all over the place, but the two werewolves weren't showing signs of tiring anytime soon.
The werewolf without the blue eyes finally scored a attack across his supposed packmate's chest, leaving a nasty group of scars. The other werewolf promtly started clawing at the other's chest. The beast on the bottom howled out in pain, and tossed his traitorous packmate aside. Both werewolves got bacp up onto their paws, and went after each other again. This time, the two went after each other with tooth & claw, not giving the other any amount of space. The werewolf without the blue eyes got another attack in, this time scratching his packmate's left eye out. The other werewolf jumped back, and the spirit inside it felt something that he hadn't experienced in a while...pain.
Sensing an opportunity, the other werewolf leaped forward, and landed right on his packmate. The beast opened it mouth, revealing two rows of razor-sharp teeth. It leaned down, and proceeded to take a chunk out of his backstabbing packmate. It clamped onto the throat, and just wouldn't let go. After a few seconds, the beast rose back up, with a chuck of it's now dead packmate's flesh. It oddly tasted good, but spat it out regardless, since it didn't want to enjoy the taste of his packmate's flesh. The spirit inside silently cried out in agony, since it wasn't able to make it out in time.

Ghosts: 2/Werewolves: 1

The werewolf got up from the ground, and what could be resembled as a tear, slowly tricked down the left side of it's furry face. The beast turned around to look at it's dead packmate one last time, but was greeted by a spectral hand going into it's head. Immediately, the werewolf's body started shaking violently. It could feel it's organs heating up, it's eyes starting to swell, and it's spine beginning to crack. After a few second, everything inside the werewolf exploded, turning the inside of it's body into a hallow, bloody carvern.

Ghosts: 2/Werewolves: 0

The spirit pulled it's hand out of the creature's head, letting the body plop onto the ground. Another spirit pulled up right beside it, and placed it's ghostly hand on to his apparent friend's shoulder. The two spirits looked at each other, and then winked out of existence.

Ending Assessment: While the werewolves were certainly fierce, they had no solid ability to take on one of the undead world's most powerful entities.
Strongest Weapon: With a reality shaping 300 kills, the Ghost's ability to possess & deceive take the strongest weapon spot.
Weakest Weapon: Without infecting even a single spirit, the Werewolves's Lycanthropy is the weakest weapon of this fight.
